Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum of b.ed course is same for all colleges in Odisha. The curriculum is based on NEP2020 which is beneficial for both student and teachers. It emphasize the all round development of child beginning from physical development, social development, moral development etc.

Class Size: 150Course Fees: INR 6000 per year

Internships Opportunities

There will be 2 months internship programmes in each academic year. During the internship programme u have to take 20 classes. You have to make tlm and proper lesson plan to teach student in school. Depending upon b.ed student strength, no of schools are decided.

Fees and Financial Aid

The course fee for govt b.ed college is around 5k-6k and 7k for hostel per year. You are eligible for post matric scholarship , nua o scholarship and based upon your other criteria you can get also ther scholarship offered by both state govt and central govt.

In b.ed course you have to be an all-rounder. That means you have to study as well as take participate in every cultural, athletic programmes to improving your hiden inner qualities. You can take participate I. Social activity , cultural activity etc.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facilities is very good . There are different types of rooms (4 bed, 2bed(mostly)). There are 6 bathroom, 6 toilet, 1 aquagard. You have to pay extra fee for meal other than 7k for hostel seat rent. If you are not able get a seat in hostel , you can rent rooms, pg outside college .

Admission

For pursuing B.ed course in Odisha, you must have bachelor's degree. The exam is conducted by odisha govt and all the information are available in samsodisha website. There is reservation for obc/sebc, sc,st,pwd students. There are some govt b.ed colleges as well as self financing b.ed colleges(more course fee tha govt b.ed college, approx 45k-50k per year). The entrance exam is conducted during mid year jun-july. You have to qualify the entrance exam and depeing upon cutoff and your mark you are able to tale admission in colleges.

A brief data of b.ed at RISE

Course Curriculum Overview:

This b.ed course contains specific perspective in education which itself gives insight to develop an inherent aura to foster the thoughts. This curriculum is well designed and so accurate which ultimately helping a student to absorb all the qualities required for a better teacher. There should be implementation of smart board and other neccessary things for concrete understanding of any concept. There is only one final exam per year at the end of course. Besides there is internship and other community activities etc.

A journey from student to student teacher

You have to give an entrance examination to get admission in this course. You must be a graduate in any recognised university. You will get application form from sams and the application fee was 500 from general , obc, sebs and 300 for sc ,st.The exam was of 100 marks and you will get 1:30 mins to complete hundred questions each carrying 1 mark. And there's also negative marking for wrong answer. For one wrong answer 0.25 mark will deduct from the secured mark. And yes u can qualify this examination with your Selfstudy. Because the examine is not that hard. But you should improve your knowledge about all the source , such as general knowledge, current affairs, your own course like if you are from arts background u should study history geography polity etc similarly for science physics chemistry biology mathematics etc. And also about education commission, committee, pedagogy. RNIASE: Building the Foundation of Education like no other

Candidates get admission into the college after clearing the State B.Ed entrance exam of Odisha. The entire process of filling up the form for the exam is done through the SAMS portal of Higher Education department of Odisha. Advertisement for the application is released through various newspapers and in the SAMS site itself which includes the entire timeline from beginning of application for the exam till the admission process. This exam is conducted once a year with the cut-offs ranging from 60 to 65 for Arts students while it's around 50 to 55 for the Science students.
