New review for a really old college.

Having choosen civil engineering there are lots of real life application of course so yeah, we have a good relevance of the course. We get to see many real life problems ultimately helping us to understand many actualities of common world. we have to appear for exams twice each semester(per 6 months) so we are almost always engaged in studies.

There are enough internship opportunities available as well, one of my friend of First year itself has got an internship, which is definitely a plus point. Many local companies as well as global companies offer internship opportunities in our college.

Our college offers placement opportunities. Since it's National Institute of Technology so there are many companies interested as well. Internships are available from 2nd semester itself, but placements are availed from 6th semester. Many companies like Microsoft, Amazon, LnT and more often visit our college.

The tution fees are not being increased so often. so there is no such hassle and we can enjoy the overall experience. Including all the charges of tution fee, hostel and mess fee I have to pay 1 lakh each semester, 2 lakhs each year. Being in the first year I have not received any employment opportunities.

The campus life is good, although we have a small campus, but we enjoy every bit of it. Each place is utilised at best. So definitely we enjoy it. There are lot of social events, however the fests are not good enough, or maybe not invested enough. This is an issue, which should be dealt with, because no big stars ever appear for any events. there are many clubs although which are active as well.

The hostel rooms are crowded, but we get enough facilities like 24×7 wifi availability, water, electricity and we have places for walking and hanging out with friends. But the meal is just not good enough. There can be better menu and better quality food as well. But it's not like we face issues to eat and enjoy, yet there can be many improvements in it.

I gave JEE mains and was able to secure a decent rank to get a seat in the college. All the application form and other details were available on the main site of NIT PATNA, so there were no hassle. The admission process was smooth, I faced no issues.
