Likes

I liked the sports availability and gym . The teaching of faculty is also good and strict
The hostel food is also good with nutritious food
The hostel atmosphere is good enough to have peaceful study

Dislikes

The timings to enter hostel is 6 pm in girls hostel
The staffs tends to be least bothered at times when we are injured while at work.
The college tends to take unnecessary expenses on us.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is relatively easier than mbbs. All that is taught is completely relevant to the future works we deal with . So it's important to have a thorough understanding of what we learn. There must be more hand-on work to help us to prosper more in this field. And I feel the patient exposure is a little less but it's appreciable. The exams conducted is fair enough with 3 internals and a university exam for 4 years. We also have a 1-year rotational internship.

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 400000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fees is 4 lakh per year with scholarship benefit it reduces to 3 lakh an year . It will cost a total of near 20 lakh with additional payments of hostel . We have stipends of 5000/- monthly during internship period.

Campus Life

We have annual day every October with other celebrations like onam and Christmas which the students conduct on their own. There is sports day conducted every march were we can show our extra curricular skills.. we also have cultural day celebrations that last for 4 days. We have a sports platform called yendurance which has a basketball court , football court and badminton. We have student portals and social groups that helps us in updating with different reports and upcomings .

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is pretty good with a 3 bed and attached bathroom. We have separate study tables and decent cupboards and kitchen area. We have mess food at specific timing which is adjustable and the food is fine. We have chicken kebab every friday and Wednesday . Chicken is main non veg provided almost every day dinner. Morning we get idli, dosa, upma, poori, bread . It's compulsory that we stay in a hostel unless our parents aren't nearby.

Hostel Fee: INR 150000 per year

Admission

The admission was step-wise process. The application process began about 2 weeks after publishing the results. An eligibility mark was required to apply. During my time it was about 150 marks on 650. I didn't have any reservations about benefits.

I was always wanted to join medical services.Although during my neet ug entrance I could not make it to mbbs but dental was the choice only left I dont regret my choice because its way too vast for anyone Curriculum gives you basic knowledge but clinical practice actually prepares for the real world.Dentistry is all about art and skills I feel areas for improvement is only the exam factor.Number of exams are too much and they should reduce the exam pressure into few Frequency of exams are 4 exams per year and in final year 8 exams including part 1 and part 2 Difficulty level is too much,every exam requires thorough knowledge of the subject

Likes

A very good patient flow. We get to practice more. Since in dentistry hand work is utmost important.
Clinical postings starts from 1st Year itself. The student gets to know their area of interest from the beginning.
The faculties are highly experienced with deep knowledge about the subject. Both teaching and non teaching staffs are very supportive.

Dislikes

No freshers. No much cultural activities which can make the academic year a little boring. But they do conduct sports for 2 weeks long and cultural programme for 1 week long. They also conduct onam programme.
Waking up like a school kid and getting ready for 8 am class. The class timings could be from 9 am.
College is too far from home. I feel homesick. But i have to deal with it haha.

•The course is not that tough but it's not that easy too. •It requires dedication and time. •Theory is needed but in dentistry hand work is utmost important. •To excel in the clinics we should develop our hand skills. •A lot of patient flow helps the students to perform their best because they get tp practice more. •A lot of patience is required in this field. •One should have patience to get patients. •The exams are not very tough to crack. •Regular studies will help to score excellent marks •People also pass by studying from 1 month before the final exam

best collage for dental course

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because i wanted to be a dentist. The student ratio Of boys and girls is 50-50 approximately The faculty staff is so big and helpful towards students. Professors are well qualified but the Teaching method isn't really good in a few subjects also 80 students so professors can't focus on individual students. Overall it's ok. Term exams are yearly annual exams. There is no semester system. It is hard to pass per year because the syllabus is so lengthy and subjects are hard. You need to prepare well to pass.

Remarks:

Our college get a lot of patients from the rural areas around. Therefore we get exposed patients with different kinds of pathological conditions. Which increases our knowledge and helps us to learn better and to treat the patients better.

Remarks:

College is in the very good place. College campus is mind blowing. Students will experience a very good climate and food over. We have amazing set of management who keep full entire campus clean. But disadvantage is that our college doesn't have proper network.

Well spent time of my life.

Remarks:

The college is good and there are constant improvements going on . The patients have increased considerably in the recent years providing good practice to students. The stipend however needs to be increased according to the current standards.

By seeing the college ambience and everything it looked good from outside until my classes started in yenepoya . Eligiblity is +2 pass with science background maths , physics and chemistry.
