I have chosen my course according to my marks on 12th I didn't got good score in jee so I joined this college on my 12th grade marks and I got IT corse in this college.but the ones who got good in jee may choose their wish course

Placements in our college is quitely good when compared with other colleges.the students who joined here may get atleast 3L package per anum the more package u got is by ur stuff.the companies coming here is also good companies like TCS etc...

The college fees of this university is slightly equal to othe r university feeses may be for us it May 1L per semister so it is neither low nor very much high the charges are seperate for hostle and mess

Campus Life

Yes there are many clubs in sastra as there are so many telugu and tamil students.college management according to students wish they created tamil and telugu clubs for dancing, sports,dramas etc .fests in this college are very less but events like dancing singing competitions are more.both senior and juniors will combine and do this job

Hostel Facilities

Hostle we are staying are very neat and they are cleaned by the cleaner uncle's every day the hostle is good but. The mess is below average tamil students can eat and adjust but the students who came from outside of Tamil Nadu like andhra Telangana cannot eat that food the menu here is 100% different from Andhra foods there will be no Currys at all to eat only sambar

Admission

Admission process is completely through online it is based on your 12th and jee main marks and grades the one who have higher percentage are recruited it don't have any reservations for any cast people only NRI Quota are. Available

Interview Experience

No there are no tests and any other group disscussions for the admission process.it is purely based on your 12th marks and ur jee marks there is no offline tests or any other offline matters all the admission process is completely through online.they give the academic calendar for classes and they will ask u to attend college from this date

There are companies but the companies that were told that the good ones, they didn't come so much.. only a few companies that gave a package above 5 lakhs came in for my department.. the rest of them were either 4 lakh package or below it was not very good. even the 1 or 2 good companies that came tehy came for electrical.

Why SRM is better than other collages.

Placement Experience:

So from 6-7th semester they offers placements before that we have placement training in campus.So highest package for 2024 was 45 to 50 lpa,good offer given by amazon and other company also.So the average package is 7.5 lpa and highest package was 50 lpa.so 925 application are accepted in last 2 monts .My plans to get job and then after 2 years may be for higher study or startups.

The curriculum of each course is different and it is followed by the guidance of Anna university, we have several topics and it is under the regulation of 2021 respectively, I feel this easier to learn and there comes an opportunity to do what we learn in theory hour in our laboratory hour it will make more connected to our course, but there is lagging factor that is we are far away from the modern world and we need to put effort to compete with. The exams are not difficult and the frequency of the exam is quite manageable.

Students are eligible from 3rd year for placements and also who don't have standing arrears ,if they have standing arrears the clg management will remove them from placements and also the Placements are very poor . The average package is 350000/year . And the maximum package is 15L Last year nearly 100 students out of 180 in cse dept are non-placed , they are forced to write higher studies letter and submit in college . Even though they won't help for any placement side.

“SASTRA: Strict but Worth It”

had applied to a few reputed universities like VIT, SRM, and Amrita along with SASTRA. I did get shortlisted in some, but I chose SASTRA mainly because of its better academic reputation, affordable fee structure compared to VIT/SRM, and strict yet student-friendly environment.
