Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum as I believe is backward. Faculty members of my branch Mechanical Engineering are not cooperative as compared to faculty of other engineering departments. Mechanical Engineering could be better had it no seniors who instead of motivating the juniors to go well by the time, tell them not to study. Exam timings are suitable as far as I know. For teaching methods improvement is required on the seriousness of the teachers regarding syllabus like they should not pile up at the last moment that in 15 days you're completing the syllabus. That's not the correct way. And not to mention, Mechanical Engineering was not my choice,it was just a medium for initiation of branch change. Hence I don't see any particular aspects in its curriculum.
Placement Experience
Usually after 6th and 7th semesters, students can go for placements. Companies like Accenture, MG Hector, Larsen and Toubro Ltd,visit for on campus. For off campus placements, which most of the people go for, Google, Microsoft, Apple, Facebook do visit. 70 to 80% students get placement offers, not sure of the exact number. Technically I don't want to stay in Mechanical Engineering here, hence I can't tell my plans after getting the degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tuition fee is affordable for most of the people, something that I believe is a positive point. Hikes are seen as someone gets promoted to second or higher years respectively, but enough to afford on an overall basis. Total fee is 86300 for first year, and it goes upto 1.05 lakh for one year till 4th year. Students taking hostel have a benefit that yearly expenditure reduces by a good margin. Uttar Pradesh Government Scholarship is applicable here. Now if I talk about employment opportunities, it's not very good, especially when you're in a core branch, because usually major students go for GATE examination. It's all based on your skills that's all I can say.
Campus Life
Technical fest this year was an outstanding one Techsrijan being the name. And I feel cultural fest i.e. Abhyudaya could have been good, had the sponsorship been done better. Books and journals are available well enough. Classrooms are good and technological provisions are satisfactory, though they are not used enough. Sports and extracurricular activities are satisfactory no doubt. Seniors are good, but most of them brag about themselves uselessly, and they just come out of nowhere without any particular permission. I hate the format of introduction to seniors as well as when asking their names, it's freaking useless. Clubs they organize are okay, but they are not as knowledgeable as people should introspect.
Admission
Bachelor in Technology for MMM University of Technology mainly requires JEE Main Ranks according to which students are allocated branches as per the cutoff rank for both Uttar Pradesh residents and other state residents. Application form and dates will be found in its NIC site. Reservation technically is applicable for main round counselling. I would personally suggest not to go for Spot Counseling as it is kinda messed up, notifications provided are late, and if you're having a good like upto 1 lakh in JEE Main, don't go in spot, because you won't get the desired branch.Instead apply AKTU Counseling to get your desired branch. In the admission process the major thing to be fixed is the notification part which should be given on time. The fees as compared to HBTU Kanpur is less (approximately 91000 for one year), a major advantage for Core Branches like Civil, Mechanical, Chemical in particular.
