MY EXPERIENCE IN SRM

The curriculum will be changed for every 3 years based on the feedback of companys that came for placements and the industry standards. The labs are well maintained and will equiped with all the requriments and the internal exams are held in 3 parts names CLA1, CLA2 and CLA3 and External Exams are held once per Sem. The combination of both internal and external will deside your final grade of the subject.

College won't provide you any intenship they will provide you internleads to placement or a direct placement from a company. If you need a intenship you need to contact your faculty they will provide in some other companys.

People of 6th to 8th sem are eligible for placements provided no backlogs and should opt for placements. The LOR will not be given for higher education students if they opt for placements. Around 500 companys will come to placements and arounf 95% of the students will get placed.

Fees structure in the college will be based on the department you selected and for ECE, EEE, MECH the fee was 2,50,000 and for CSE it might be higher. The Total Cost for ECE,EEE,MECH students if they opted hostel for all 4 years would be around 17Lakhs (approx). Coming to scholarships you will get merit scholarship if you get top mark in your dept. You will also get scholarship if your parents are working in SRM or if they are in Army Services.

Milan and aarush are the fests happen in the college once a year and these are conducted by students who are the members of a DSA. The access to library will be available to every student with the help of your RFID enabled ID card. All the class rooms and labs are airconditioned and all the classes are provided with digital board or a projector for better explanation. There are many student run clubs who prepare Racecars, conduct event like DSA, Improves your coading skills and many more you can join based on your interests and facilities like GYM and Play Groung also available.

Hostel available are 2 sharing, 3 sharing 4 and 6 sharing with AC and Non AC, with Attach, With out Attach Bathroom. the fees of hostel will differ based on the grade you selected. Mess Fee was included in hostel fees and complusary to opt for 68,000 and the laundary is for 7000 per year which was optional. Mess Menu will be good and will be changed one in 2 months.Booking of Hostel will be online and can be booked easily. There are also rooms available in potheri a village based on college needs and others. the room rents will be 25,000 for a 3BHK flat and 7,000 for a single room. The Availability will be easy and will present around 2KMS radius from the college and the PG Rent for a single person will be around 6,000 to 9,000.

For Admission you need to appear for SRMJEEE which will happen every year. If you clear it based on your preferance you opted in application processes your seat will be alloted. For Appearing to SRMJEEE you need to complete +12 from a state board or any other recognised organisation. The application processes and exam will be online and available in srmist.edu.in and the difficulty level will be medium.
