Course Curriculum Overview
The courses in BBA program is very relevant to the things we would do when we get a job. The college teaches us all the basics in the beginning and we advance in topics every semester. It was a fun experience. The curriculum I believe prepares us for real- world applications. During the classes, we may tend to feel that it's not worth it. Only after completion we understand why we were taught in such a manner. We had a mix of both online and offline classes and the professors and teachers were all qualified in their respective fields.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are also provided by the college. We need to search for the companies and apply ourselves. I applied for a Delhi based firm ACS. We had to do sales and commission was given accordingly. Stipend was 7,000 if we sold atleast 1 of their products. We had to make a report for that too.
Placement Experience
Personally, I didn't like placment officer much. The students are left alone to deal with the companies once we are selected. Students can apply for college placements in their 3rd year. Some of the companties that visited that I'm aware of are Genpact, EY, Deloitte, Miniso, iQuanta. Average package are of 4,00,000 yearly. Highest for UG was 11 LPA. The jobs were mostly of Sales, Marketing and Finance. Students get placed if they meet the expectations of the compaines. After degree I wanted to get some work experience so I looked for job but applied for outside the college. I did not sit for the college placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees of BBA General is Rs.1,65,000 yearly. During, the time of admission 5,000 is security and almost 50,000 is admission charges. There are no sudden charges but for eating in the cafetaria it can be heavy to the pockets if we buy everytime we eat. We can opt for monthly subscribtions which will save some. In case your attendance is short, we have to pay fine upto 4,000 to raise our attendance and get our admit card. We need to be very regular. The college does provide merit- based scholarship for students with well maintained attendance. Campus employment opportunities are unavailable as it is a new college, but we can volunteer for some posts.
Campus Life
There are various events held every time in the college. The most favourable ones are the sports events held during the month of Oct- Dec and Ethinic Day that is held once every year. We also have inter departmental competitions. It is very competitive time as every department tries to win the Festive Cup. We also have lots of workshops and stall events held. The clubs also are very active we have mainly two department for this. SWO and CSS. SWO comprises of various clubs for all cultural activities and events that are to be held in the campus. CSS is the voluntary wing where the students work outside of campus in various volunterring activities such as helping NGOs and social works. The Student Council of the college also holds a very powerful position in the college. The library is well maintained with all books and updated regularly. The classrooms are also very well maintained with smart boards and a projector. Provided with ACs in all the classrooms.
Hostel Facilities
The is 3 sharing or 6 sharing for the hostel rooms. We have our own study tables available and the are ACs for all the rooms. The washrooms are also very well maintained. For food we have to go to the cafetaria and the meals are very good. They provide lots of different options to choose from. Hostel charges Rs. 84,000 for a year. Hostel registration needs to be done offline by visiting the campus. It may not be affordable for some as hostel charges does not include for food. There are lots of PGs available nearby with prices starting from Rs 5,000 to Rs 8,000 at most. It is all double sharing and just for the room.
Admission
The admission process is very simple. We register in the official college website. They provide the forms to fill. The course I took did not have any strict requirements as such. We had to have 50% above in our 12th boards exam. The application dates starts in the month of May for UG and available upto July. If we are eligible for the course we give a test online through our laptops, that's just part of the process. After we are shortlisted, we get a date for our PI which will be online mode. Then, if we clear the PI, we are selected. We need to do our admission and the will send us our details for logging in our college mail. They provide all our details in our college mail after that. The test is not that difficult. Selection it all depends on our Interview.
Interview Experience
The is no GD, but there is a computer based online test and and interview after. The test is just a simple aptitude test. The is not much difficulty for the Interview for UG course also. We just need to answer some questions as our future goals and why we chose this particular college, etc. I did not prepare for the rounds at all.
