- GREENERY: The campus is lush green with 300 plus acres of land, most of the land is open and full of trees, which give it a very peaceful environment
- STORES NEARBY: almost everything like books, stationery, clothes, food and other items are available inside the campus or can be found near the campus area.
- NEW BUILDING FOR IOT: there is a new building that is being made for the iot department which will be equipped with all the necessary technology
Dislikes
- BROKEN BUILDING: Most of the buildings in the campus are old and need repair now as the campus was made in 1962
- TOO MANY RESTRICTIONS: There are too many restrictions for the first year students like they are not allowed to leave the hostel after the class for 3 months(official)and 6 months(unofficial)
- REGIONAL FACULTY: The faculty comprises of individuals that live in gorakhpur or near gorakhpur, so there no diversity in the faculty and experince.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is good but it seems to be less relevant in terms of practicality and practical knowlwedge. The curriculum is strict in nature and is vigirous , the teachers are strict when it comes to follow the curriculum , the curriculum of IOT focuses more on the software side of the ECE branch as it involoves practice of coding and other projects like ardruino.
Internships Opportunities
There are no internships offered by the university but we are told that will improve in future , There are internship opportunities in IT sectors but they are limited to girls only i.e it is gender specific.
Placement Experience
Placement scenario in MMMUT is average at its best , the average placement in MMMUT is about 650000 and the highest palcement of 2023 was 52 lac. which was provided by Google , but it was an off campus placement. The students are dependent on themselves for placements and need to develop the required skillset necessary for placements. Mass recruitors like TCS,L&T,Infosis do visit the campus but the percentage of students getting placed is about 80%
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fees for complete 4 years of B.Tech is about 600000 which breaks into 150000 per year. The total tuition fees is rs. 55000 and after including other fees like wifi and maintenance it comes down to be rs 91300 of fees . Scholarship is given by U.P government of rs 55000 which covers the total tuition fee for that you must have income certificate of less than rs. 200000
Campus Life
The life at campus is good, there is good and cheerful environment . It is a ragging free campus and there is very strict policies against ragging and other bad practices like drugs and alcohol. There are clubs for almost every extra curricular activity like photography,music,dance,art,literature,finance etc.. There are fest regarding every club like AAYAS(sports fest),ATHARVA(finance fest),ABHYUDAYA(annual cultural fest).
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are great, there are two hostels for first year for boys and one hostel for girls. BOYS HOSTELS are TAGORE and V.S and GIRLS HOSTELS are NEW girls hostels. The fees for hostels is 24300 which is annual and total mess fees is 18000 per sem i.e 36000 per year The food is good but the taste is average, it may depend upto the individual whether he/she likes the food or not.
Admission
The admissions in B.Tech is given by JEE mains followed by counselling conducted by MMMUT itself and the admissions in BBA and B.Pharm are given by CUET followed by counselling of MMMUT. I gave JEE Mains in which my rank was 89285 and through OBC counselling I got ECE Internet of things in MMMUT. The form for admission is given in the official website of MMMUT after the jee main exam is done.
