Campus is very big.Faculties are also very supportive.
Clubs and sports facilities are quite good.

Dislikes

Hostel intime for 1st year student is just 6:30 pm.
Mess food is not so good,and badminton court is not maintained

Course is very relevant to the point in accordance with the future,. Syllabus is designed by the vssut,and is circulated to all other government engineering colleges in odisha.The course is not very difficult.

Internships Opportunities

You can get internship opportunities from 2nd year only and you might be able to get PPO in 3rd year. Professors are also very supportive and you can under professor also.If you have a strong profile than it becomes easy for you to get the internship easily.

Placement Experience

Placement are quite good.Some branches offers 98-100 percent placement and average placement goes around 85 percent.The college has a good alumni network so off campus placements are also good.Internships facilities are also provided.

Campus employment opportunities are quite good.Vssut provide internship opportunities along with good support from professors also.Scholarship facilities are also provided for reserved castes and for general category also who are eligible.

There are more than 25 clubs and whatever skill you want to learn there will be a club for that,sports facilities are quite good.Swimming pool is also present in the campus.You will get a good exploration experience.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is very big and facilities are also very nice 24hr water supply along with electricity supply.Wahing machine facilities are also provided,free from ragging,mess foods are ok.Hygine care is taken.

Hostel Fee: INR 48000 per year

Admission

There is no entrance exam to get into this college,You can only apply in ojee councelling process to get admitted. The cut off for cse is around 60000 rank in jee mains and the cutoff for production is around 400000 rank in jee mains it can also go down if any space is vacant in any branch. There is also a spot councelling for those who didn't apply in ojee councelling. The addmission process is very easy it hardly take 3 to 4 hours verification is done in the campus only. Hostel addmission also take place in the university addmission. Exams are held in every 1.5 to 2 months. It may be mid semester or end semester or lab examination. Reservation are present for SC ST and there is also tution fees weaver options foe ews category. Application form for addmission comes in the ojee website and documents verification notice comes in the university website.

Placement Experience:

From the start of the 7th semester, students become eligible for placements. The placement used to be so good and the graph was increasing exponentially. But for to recession, last year's placements were not good at all. There was almost 100% placement in CSE, IT and CE branches and 80% in ETC and EEE. But due to the recession, it dropped drastically. The highest package provided on campus is 39LPA by media.net, taking only one student. The average salary used to be 12LPA which dropped to 7LPA due to the recession. The condition of placement cells is not good currently and many students are in doubt regarding their placements. Many are opting for higher studies or trying off campus.

The companies visited our college are bajaj electrical, Bharat electrical, etc. The highest packages company offered is 500000 per annum. About 85% of students get placement in our course. My plan after getting a degree is to get a job.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenario is good. Even I am placed in a reputed core company. Majority of the students get placed. The remaining also prepares for higher studies through GATE and CAT. Being in the capital city, the advantage of access to reputed coaching institutes also makes the college favourable. Students are eligible to sit in the placements in the final year. Though some third-year students also get pre-placement offers after doing certain internships. Maruti Suzuki, Tata Steel, Vedanta, Tata Advanced Systems, TCS (Digital and Ninja), Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture, JK papers, Robert Bosch etc are some of the highlights.

Vssut, burla is a renowned government college. I have been always dream of studying in a good government engineering college. The faculties are very good and supportive in every aspect. The college is also well renowned. The good aspects are the administration is very good and the only bad aspect is the hostel food is not good... Except for this everything is good.
