The transperant picture of NITT

I took ECE here in NITT , apart from curriculum I'm interested in electronics domain. So coming to curriculum here , they will start from the basics and origin of the concept and in the end it comes to real world applications, most of the Exams they conduct half will be purely based on concepts discussed by them and remaining half depends on the students preparation . It's not that tuff to handle the Exams , we have to give proper time and dedication. Difficulty level of questions depends on the Proffesers, some experienced profs give the most tuff papers like to test the knowledge and accu6of the students. Some Proffesers will be giving moderate and easy also.

As I already mentioned in 3rd year we will have that chance of internships . Software companies like Amazon, Google, Oracle, Booeng, Nvidia, Texas , Qualcomm etc will be coming to take students for intern and they pay for 2 months . Software companies pay around 1 lakh and core companies pay around 60 to 70 thousand. So internship and project opportunities from Proffesers are also there , Usually the Proffesers will have projects given by government and we students have a chance to be a part of it and also learn more from it .

So coming to the placements scenario, we have internship opportunities from 3rd year , companies come to our Colleges in beginning of 3rd year roughly August to October, the companies conduct the exams , GD and Interview and select the best . Intern will be done for 2 months before 4th year starts . Coming to placements, they will be in the beginning of 4th year and many companies Come and hier many students. Not exactly but around 100 companies for our 4th years ECE branch of which many are software and a very few Core . Highest is 52 lakhs per annum offered by Amazon from our department and average will be 15 lakhs per annum. Approximately 95 -97% people will be placed in our ECE branch. My plans to first work in a company and get an experience with it and then look after where to be .

Fee structure will similar to all 4 years B.tech Students a little difference but won't matter much as Fees will be either for Odd or even semester in a academic year . So in total for 4 years a Btech student (OC/OBC) will 9 lakhs around combining all fees. We have many scholarships available for the students here , everyone is eligible for scholarships in their aspects ( based on caste/ family status/ CGPA). For example FFE Scholarship - 40,000Rs. per year. Where Recal Scholarship - Alumni Of the college provide thisbto current students based on their performance on acads and needs of money . I have done as CR ( Class Representative) for Semester 1&3 . I have experienced a lot with many Proffesers and other staff . There is friendly bond between Proffeser and CR here in our College. I have done as Pragyan Organising Committee Cordinator. I didn't recieve Stiphend.

NITT Is a very big platform for students to show their hidden talent. We have nearly 50 to 60 clubs in our College for different events , organisations etc . Each club has its own importantance in an event . We have Pragyan, Festember, NITTFest & Sports Fetee these are annual event which involves all the departments in the college. Coming to the books, we have a large library in our College where we find different kind of books in lakhs . we have access to library everyday including Sunday . Classrooms are good with space and audio system. In a class atleast 150-180 members can fit properly. We have projector screen in every room and also LAN port . Sports participation is good as expected from students and the facilities provided are also good .We have 3 indoor Stadiums . All the clubs and whatever event gonna happen in college, all are Student run only . When comes to our College Pragyan event has ISO certification for student run event/ activities.

We have many hostel for boys & girls seperately here in the college. around 27 hostels using the wide area of the college. In our rooms 2 persons can occupy with two beds ,two cupboards , two tables and two chairs two fans etc will be there in a room . In our floor in hostel we have wifi routers to ceiling and other hostels have LAN connections directly. Coming to food we have many mess caterings in college,student can choose their own mess and review them each month and can alter to other mess also . This a smooth process and we from Andhra basically like spicy food we choose Annapurna mess where the have Andhra menu and they do it well. Hostel registration will be parallel to academic registration only and Hostel for 1st years they will have common Garnet Hostel and 2nd year to 4th year one hostel will be given to them . No need of renting especially for hostels outside, inside its neat and good .

Student should Pass 12th and Get a good secured rank in JEE exam conducted by NTA. A student should have at least 97.5 percentile to get into NITT , above 98.5 percentile students are eligible for Circuital branches and others for non Circuital. The above are for a OC general student other Caste students will have lower cutt off which varies every year . After securing a rank in JEE , there will be JOSA councelling process for application and details of fees and admission process can be known through link " nitt.edu " . we need to write JEE exam which is MCQ type difficulty level is medium , an average student should have idea in all concepts and applications of them. Areas for improvement in admission process is getting a mentors from college through online for better a knowledge and information about the college.
