The SRM AP Chronicles

The course curriculum in SRM AP is very unique and very strategic unlike any other college. The curriculum is built with the overall growth of the student in mind. Courses like environment science, human values and ethics and entrepreneurial mindset are embedded in the curriculum.

The university has many international tie ups with various universities all around the world and it provides an opportunity for both studying and internships abroad that will help widen the experience.

SRM has centralized placement policy. Students become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. SRM also conducts a placement training program which preps the student for the various aspects of tests and interviews. The average package is 10 lacks per annum.

The fees structure varies with the course that you have decided to pursue. The scholarships are provided by the university according to the ranks in SRMJEE or JEE and the student has to work hard every semester in order to maintain the scholarship. The academic fees for CSE in SRM is 3,35,000 and the hostel fees varies upon the accommodation and air conditioning of the chosen room.

SRM AP University has an excellent world class infrastructure. A day in a week has been dedicated to extra curricular development of the students. There are more than 25 student clubs including cultural(dance, music, theatre,etc.), technical (coding,cell,etc.) and social service (nss,ncc, environmental club,etc.). The fests in SRMAP are very large scale and are a fun and memorable experience.

The hostel facilities are great. The hostel is close to the academic blocks. The hostels are very well furnished and hygienic. They are cleaned regularly. The hostel accommodations involve either 2,3 or 4 sharing. Details regarding hostel facilities and fees are easily accessible at the website.

The admission process is through an entrance exam called SRMJEE the application form for which can be accessed at the official website of SRM. The site provides all the details of the fees of different courses the college provides and also the hostel and transportation fees. SRMJEE is conducted by home in an online proctored system.The entrance exam has is conducted 3 times in a year.

There was not any interview. An entrance test was conducted based on knowledge of maths, physics, chemistry, English and aptitude for those pursuing Btech and it varies for different courses. The criteria for admission was having passed inter and the required SRMJEE rank
