I applied for the top five AIIMS and a few top national medical colleges before sms but the cutt off was high and my NEET score was not enough to match that enough for SMS. There is a huge hype of SMS especially in north India; also it has Asia's laargest OPD. Due to these factors I preferred SMS to get a good patient exposure.
