My personal review on JNTU HYD

I'm interested in doing Mechanical Engineering and this college has my needs. The faculty here are extremely experienced and have a better grip on the subject. They consider parting practical knowledge to the students. The only thing needed is your interest in learning the subject. Exam timing is the worst thing there is no time for preparing for exams semester ends quickly!

The Mechanical Department of JNTU College of engineering provides internship opportunities to students who are in 3rd year of engineering and also gives a stipend. Most of the students who participated in internships got a good paid stipend.

Placements are decent in the Mechanical Engineering Department and 4th year students are eligible to appear for placements. Many companies come to the placements and the average package is around 400000. The highest package is around 1800000. Around 60% of students who appeared for placements get placed with decent packages.

As it is a Govt college Fee is around 50000 for general students and most of the students admitted to the college get scholarships like full fee reimbursement and there is no fee for reserved categories and specially abeled candidates. Hostellers pay around 3000 per month and that's the only fee that need to be paid Few selected students like phd scholars and international students gets stipend from the college.

Campus life is good with few events over the year. College has 2 libraries one is a central library and one in a college library. College has a wide range of books and plenty to read. Classrooms are decently equipped. College has a ground and indoor stadium with an equipped swimming pool. There are also student clubs in the college which actively participates in events.

Each room is equipped with a fan bed and a table. Meal is decent with good quality. Non-veg is provided twice a week. Hostel is located inside the campus. Hostel registration is done during the certificate verification. The hostel is easily accessible.

To get into JNTU you need to appear for TSEAMCET examination conducted by the government of Telangana and get an average rank of 30k for general. The application form will be displayed on the tseamcet website approximately March of every year and its fee is 1000 for general and 500 for reservation categories. Like every other exam, this exam also has reservation benefits where there is a special cutoff for reservations. The examination pattern is medium-level with questions coming from 11th and 12th board topics. After alloting the college they won't post the news regarding admissions regularly this need to be addressed.
