Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is hectic.. To much lengthy syllabus and for our batch we got only 10 month in 2nd year which is not enough for such a vast syllabus and moreover out of 10 months 4 months were exam which is very much impractical thing to conduct cause we got less classes to learn

Internships Opportunities

Internship is offered by the college in the college's teaching hospital under the guidance of many talanted doctors. During internship you are also posted in primary health care centres and you receive a monthly wage around 13-15 k which is very less compared to other college hospital in tripura

Fees and Financial Aid

Now it's course fee is 68 lakhs per year maybe I don't know the recent one. Hospital exposure is plenty if you are eager enough to go to it and scholarship are there you can apply on nsp even some students get 4 lakhs per year as scholarship

Campus Life

There is college week , monthly grand feasts in mess, saraswati puja, diwali,foundation day, teachers day celebration, library is there, various seasonal sports events are there like TPL, Student Union is there

Hostel Facilities

In hostel room is big enough better than any other hostel room in agartala. One room is shared by two. Common bathroom is there. On each floor seperate for bathing toilet and loo. Geyser is there with basins

Hostel Fee: INR 60000 per year

Admission

You have to clear neet get selected through the state ranking system by dme then college will be alloted according to it even other state students needs to get seat through neet... Application online dme tripura site will provide. Reservations are for sc st and pdw. Exam neet is mandatory and rank within 100 of the state merit list is suitable enough to get a seat for general candidate

HONEST REVIEW OF AGARTALA GOVT MEDICAL COLLEGE

Placement Experience:

We are placed in the hospital during the internship on how good knowledge we have based on giving good treatment to the patients. The salary, in the beginning, is good and as the experience increases, we can even open our clinic or even hospital or work privately too. Placement in many renowned hospitals is quite so easy thought AGMC college and they give much money to work as a doctor. Like private Institute provide freshers 30-40k per month salary and govt are giving little bit low salary per month. But after 1year this salary increase.

Remarks:

As mentioned above, this is the kind of college you should choose with only with the thought of getting a MBBS degree. There's no provision any other way to entertain you. One can play sports in the field which is not at all maintained. Everything apart from Studies and clinics is below standards but that's what you're here for, right.

Remarks:

College is good in studying, clearing the skills in clinics as well as all other extracurricular activities. But as there is a bit less number of cases of patients come to hospital,there is less exposure to all sort of clinical conditions of patients for practicing.

The overall admission process is good cut off marks for TMC during my time was 466 last mark for general category, so there are 100 seats out of which 41 seats are for general category and rest were for sc and ST , difficulty level of neet UG in 2021 was average and high scoring too. Application forms are available in the DME website by the tripura government where candidates can apply for admission. Words by a sensible medico.

The student has to qualify NEET. The cutoff changes every year. For ST in my time the admission ended with 150/180 marks in NEET. Had to apply in state medical council.
