Likes

Locational advantage - metropolitan area and financial capital
Located in a great area with reach through local train
Placement - They try to get placements for all and of different fields and course specific too and umbrella placement lets each course to sit for every sectors company

Dislikes

Too much student intake - There are 800 students in first year
Too many things parallel - Internships are also a focus while competitions too and its a 3 trimester in a year

Course Curriculum Overview

Media is a different course Relaxed course as compared to other courses Curriculum is mix of journalism and pgdm / mba Course is very generic and has some subjects that are practical in nature while some like media law where mba students dont get to work but its a very interesti g course and gets you interested in how media sectors works in real

Placement Experience

Interviews and campus placements start right from 1 semesters, best companies with high stipend come in the start Most students were unaware initially and good companies came in the start itsef for internship placement . Since the market condition isnt good there are ample companies coming but there are a lot to be placed yet

I am unaware of scholarships since its not on academic basis 14 lakhs is the base fee for postgrad, living and staying exp will be around 3 lpa The clg has concession for train users or localites There have been various companies on the campus majorly for hr role or sales

Campus Life

Technology within classrooms is great , there is continuous pracitce of giving presenation and making presentations. We are taught from how to use ui devoplers to 3 modelling and media skills as well as power bi and sql and excel sessions are there There are smart hackathons for entrepreneurship in tech related fields and to foster innovation We also have runbhoomi a sports fest where different courses play against each other and impact cricket tournament where management colleges play against each other

Admission

Weschool Mumbai has group discussions and personal interviews and profile screenings with cat / xat score screening and cmat/ atma. There admission process is very long its in two stages Atma and cmat are easiest of all

Placements are good for a Tier 2 College . The Student Intake is huge so for that 12 LPA is a good average package . If we take the top 10 Percent students it rises above 15 LPA . Quality of Companies and the roles offered are good . Intership opportunities are also good.

The Real College Life

I was admitted through CMAT examination. The minimum cutoff to qualify was 80 but I had scored 97.5%. The admission process consisted of GD followed by PI, with moderate level of difficulty. The fee structure last year was 14,00,000 for two years but for the current year they have increased it to 15,50,000 for the entire 2 years.
