- Campus Life at the university is quite fun. There are events organised almost every month and the cultural fest are a site of enjoyment for everyone.
- Fee structure:- The fee structure of the university is very convenient and the scholarship makes the course even more efficient.
Dislikes
- Sometimes I believe faculty being rude to the students.
- I believe the average placement of the college is very low and it should work on it
- There should only be core subjects included in the course and any other subjects should be choosen on students interest rather than forcing students to study unnecessary subjects.
Course Curriculum Overview
I believe the subjects included and the syllabus of the subjects is very good and is in detail but there are some issues with the course that needs to be pointed out. Firstly there are unnecessary subjects that no one in this course wants to study like VAC ( value added course) in which I am studying French also there was an environment subject and a communication skills subject that I felt were unnecessary for this course.
Internships Opportunities
College greatly emphasize on the internship as it is compulsory for the students to do internship in the fifth semester during the summer break. College itself provides internship in the college and It also brings othe intrested companies to hire an intern. In college the interns are made to work in different laboratories, admission cell and academic cell.
Placement Experience
Yes the college allows it's students to sit in the placement drive organised by the college where many companies come to employ students. Getting jo to it's students is one of the main priority of this university. To make sure that the student gets a placement the university even runs a program in syllabus of each course known as CRT ( campus recruitment training) where they train students the vital skills required to get placement . After the 5th semester (3 year course) and 7th semester ( 4 year course) students become eligible to take placement. The average package of the college is 3.5 lakh with atleast 7% of students being placed each year.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure of Poornima University is completely based on online platform. Student needs to submit the fee in four installments that coul be easily submitted via college's app. There is scholarship provided on the basis of your marks. During the admission process your percentage of twelfth is considered, those with more than 80% in twelfth gets 80% scholarship in tution fee and then accordingly the scholarship also decreases with decrease in marks and the next lower tiers of scholarship are 60%,40% and 20%. The scholarship of a student will be continued even after completing first year but this time his scholarship will be calculated based on the CGPA in first year and if you get a single back in any subject them the scholarship will be cancelled.
Campus Life
The overall environment of Poornima University is very good. There are different clubs in the university with each club having a captain and a vice captain. The captain and vice captain of each club are selected through the student council. The student council itself with the help of these clubs organise a number of activities in the university which is greatly appreciated by all the faculty members. Sports is greatly encouraged in the university and students also get free attendance in case they need to go to another university for inter college tournament. The infrastructure of Poornima University is good and they have a lush green campus with grounds and trees.
Admission
First of all when I reached Poornima University to check for admission the staff was very friendly and hospitable. Everyone seemed to be kind natured . I met the one of admission councellor in admission cell of University and I told him that I wanted to get enrolled in B.Sc course then he introduced me to the faculty incharge for B.Sc admission and she explained the aspects of course to me thoroughly. Then she made me take the visit of entire campus and I liked the infrastructure of University. Finally I filled the admission form with my details and submitted the first installment fee. Overall it was a smooth and easy process.
