GBPUAT - The harbinger of green revolution : A quick review

This course is perfect for any student who is genuinely interested in agriculture. The scope of agriculture is vast and the curriculum is very thorough. The courses are uniformly divided into different semesters and more focus is given on practical knowledge. The laboratory facilities are really good and the student gets to practice everything which is taught in the lectures. The professors are really experienced and helpful.

Yes the university offers campus placements. 4th year students are eligible for campus placement interviews. Many companies visit and offer jobs. The average package is 20,000 to 30,000 PM. The percentage of students getting placement actually depends a lot on the student's choice as many students usually go for higher studies or government exams.

Tution fee in comparison with other private colleges is very low (15-20k) approximately. Other charges include laboratory fee, medical fee, games fee, library fee, room rent, tour fee, electric fee, water bill and food bill. All of them combined are nearly equal to 20-25k. Many scholarship schemes are available.

One of the best things about GBPUAT is it's beautiful and clean campus. The university has a close campus which has maximum amount of trees and ornamental plants. One thing the student will love about this university is the scenery and peaceful environment. The colleges and libraries are facilitated with latest technologies and up to date labs and libraries. Extra curricular activities go hand in hand with studies in the university. There are multiple number of societies which are even student run. Students are encouraged to participate in different activities as they're important. There is a big hall called Gandhi hall in the university where most of the functions are held.

Hostel facilities are a drawback. Even though the university hostels are very affordable but the facilities are not up to the mark. Many changes can be made in this area. The hostels are not bad but they're not very good either.

Course eligibility - completed 10+2 with 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) from either PCB or PCM background The GBPUAT entrance exam is conducted once a year. Application form and other details like entrance exam fee and datecan be found from the university website. There are certain percentage of seats reserved for students from farmer family and sports quota. Admission is given on the basis of ranks and cutoff by counselling process.
