The college is only focusing on the 75% attendance. They are not focusing on the student development. The management is very poor.
Entrance Preview
The exam is only SRMJEE , But if you have not given the exam then also the admission is possible by giving Rs 50000 extra per year. I have chosen this campus because it has good mechanical engineering faculties. But still, I am telling you if you are interested in SRM the go for the main campus i.e. Kattakalatur campus, Chennai.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is excellent, but the faculties do not get enough time to complete the syllabus. There are theoretical as well as the practical subject is included in the curriculum. The practical is good and also there are enough number of a lecture to complete the practice
Internships Opportunities
No, the college does not provide internship at all. They only provide industry visit i.e also only one.
Placement Experience
There are many companies are coming to the campus. Till the year 2020, the students have to go to Chennai for the placement process. The company for the mechanical engineering offers low package. The computer science students get some average placement only. If you are mechanical engineering then you must know at least one computer language to get the place in the mass recruiter. i.e. tcs , infosys Etc.
College Events
There is only One Event ROOBAROO. i.e very poor celebration. If you are the first-year student then they will ask you 1000rs for fest please don't give.because the college needs to fund not the student. They will tell that you won't given entry, you will get entry please do not give money
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees are very expensive as compared to other colleges. The estimated fees till now are Rs 200000 per year. The hostel fees are 125000 per year for 4 sharing in a single room. You need to pay all the fees before cycle test 2 else they won't be allowed to give your exam.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes, the loan is available at the time of admission by the city Union Bank. The scholarship is only given to SRMJEE topers
Campus Life
The gender ratio for mechanical engineer does not matters. The gender ratio is equally in cse department. The college organizes fresseres party as well as a farewell party. Cultural society is not much help they are doing timepass. The campus treat every student equal. The Campus is totally Raging free.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is not good, it is very expensive, you need to pay approx. Rs 150000. The laundry service is compulsory in the hostel which cost rs 6000. The mess is not as the price of a hostel. There are veg as well as non veg food are available in mess. But my sugession is that try PG outside it will cost you only 70000. But do not take DEV HOSTEL, it is my personal suggestion.
Alumni/Alumna
The college senior is telling that they have not the good experience on the campus, and they are true. I have not meet any alumni till now.
Exam Structure
The Exam is very Standard. Don't even dare to do malpractice in an exam, if you are caught your whole semester will be canceled and you have to repeat the sem. again. The exam pattern consists of 50% internal and 50%external. For internal, there will be surprise test, assignment, and two-cycle test exam which are concluded in 50 marks and rest is an external exam.
Admission
Admission process is very simple only you have to choose the branch, submit documents,pay Money through DD and done. Be aware of the agent that are telling to do your admission in college, you didnt have to contact any one, just go to campus administration block and get your admission done.
