Likes
- Campus Life is very good in DDU gorakhpur university. Infrastructure is very good.
- Faculty members are highly qualified. They completed their PhD from best colleges like IIT, MMMUT, etc
- A large number of course is provided like BTECH, BCA, BCOM, MBA, BA, MA etc.
Dislikes
- Placement is not so good. The average package is 2 to 3 LPA.
- There is shortage of drinking water in some departments but it will be fixed in some days.
- Vehicles is not allowed in campus for students.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose B.Tech in Computer science. There is more opportunities in Technical background. The demand of Computer science increasing day by day. The faculty: students ratio is 1: 10. The faculty members are well trained. All of members are PhD certified. The teaching method is Smart board. Exams are done on a regular basis. The difficulty of the paper is medium. You have to pass 2 semester exams in a year.
Internships Opportunities
Some companies like Swastika Infotech, Cure All Security Services Private Limited, Fair Deal Fincorp PARAM Sales Services, ALL IN ONE Consultancy Services, Nirog Prakritik Chikitsa Evam Prashikshan Kendra Gorakhpur etc. They give internship opportunities as well. But these opportunities are not good.
Placement Experience
From last year, students become eligible for campus placements. The companies like Swastika Infotech, ALL IN ONE Consultancy Services, Fair Deal Fincorp etc. visited. Almost 60 percent of the students getting placed. I am going for higher studies like M.Tech. Highest packed is 5LPA and average package is 3LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees structure is approx 1 lakh per year for all branches( CSE, IT, ME, ECE). The cost of study is slightly high as we consider poor students. But the best thing is you get UP Government scholarship nearly 50,000 for General and OBC. More than 1 lakh for SC and ST students.
Campus Life
Annual fest is Aarambh and they are conducted for freshers in the month of August. Time to time department arranged tech fest like TechCZar etc. Books and journals are available in library. There is a sports for cricket, football, volleyball etc. News sports department made in the year 2023 named Pavilion. There is many clubs for students like Coding club, sports club, dance club etc. Regular competition are organised in these clubs.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility is slightly fair. They provide each room for 2 students. Each bed, table, almirah for a single person. New hostel will be provided for BTech and BCA students. The meal quality is not so good but it will be better in few months as new vice chancellor came. The hostel fees is medium and maximum people's afford it. If you rented a room, 3000 for 2 persons will be given in nearby localities like Chatra Sangh, Golghar, Mohaddipur, Railway station etc.
Admission
The eligibility is 12th passed with Maths (minimum 45 % marks). You can get the application form from official site of DDU that is ddugu.ac.in. The application fees for General and OBC is 800 rupees and 400 rupees for SC and ST. The application form come in April-May. There is a reservation benefits for SC and ST students as their seats are reserved. The admission process is smooth, the only thing you have to do is Checking Notice Section of official website regularly to get updated.
