Remarks

Studying in this college gives one of a kind experience. Everyone should experience it. But I think the only drawback lies in the year-end elections and protests related to it which leads to some classes being suspended during the election period.

Entrance Preview

The course which I study is BSc. Information technology & management. There is a different entrance exam for this category. The entrance exam consists of questions from Gk, English & Maths. They select students by taking weightage from their class 10 & 12 marks in addition to their score in the entrance exam. I got Rank-2 in entrance exam results & that gave me the wish & confidence to take admission here. Also, this college is the most reputed & sought after college of our state Odisha, so it is great to be part of such a college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course is really helpful for students who want to work in the IT industry. The course is completely based on computer science. Every semester the students will get to learn deeper about the topics in computer science. It covers all the important subjects of computer science. Its syllabus is somewhat similar to B.Tech (CSc.)

Internships Opportunities

As our college is mostly based on Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor in Commerce, so, as far as I know, there is no internship. But yes it provides good placement opportunities in some of the courses.

Placement Experience

4

The course which I have opted for provides placement in the premium IT companies. Our seniors have got placed in the best IT companies with good salary package. If the students get good marks in all the semesters then they will get the opportunity to appear a written test. After being qualified in the written exam, the students give the interview & are selected according to their performance.

College Events

4.5

Cultural festivals are regularly conducted in our college. Students show great enthusiasm in participating in such cultural activities. Along with the cultural festivals, sports activities based on cricket, basketball, etc. are also conducted throughout the year and a huge number of students take part in these activities.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is really feasible, especially for students who belong to middle-class families. *The exact amount is Rs 25000 (twenty-five thousands) per year. So for three years, the total amount is Rs 75000 only. Which means one has to pay Rs 25000 during admission and again the same amount during the 2nd year & 3rd year at the time of readmission. So this course is a great option for those students who cannot afford lakhs of rupees to study in private colleges, as its total amount sums up to only Rs 75 thousand.

Fees and Financial Aid

Since I have never availed of any scholarship or loan facility offered by this college, thus I do not have any knowledge of such facilities.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors are very interactive. One can get a great deal of knowledge by communicating with them. They also have a good deal of experience. In fact, while taking admissions too, you will get to meet many seniors who come up to you voluntarily and give useful advice about which courses you should take up in the college.

Admission

As soon as I learnt about this course I went to the college to bring the admission form. They also gave the admit card for the entrance exam. After giving the exam, the results were announced. They sent the Intimation letter to our house through speed post. For admission you have to take that intimation letter along with your class 10 & 12 certificates. You are then admitted to the course according to your rank. Thus the admission is complete.

Faculty

4

The faculty is really good & they get along well with the students. So there is no communication problem & students can easily ask their doubts. Thus the classes are very interactive. This year we were also asked to review our teachers individually which I think is a great step.
