Course Curriculum Overview

4

Journalism and mass communication course is for bold students as being a journalist is a difficult job as well as courageous also. There are different teachers for each subject but at a point, there is a 1:70 ratio as there is one section for our batch. Teachers are well qualified and have knowledge. As I said the main Focus is on practical knowledge so scoring in exams is not that difficult task for a student.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

All the news channels give intership like Zee media, ABP news, News 24, etc. Most of the companies give unpaid internships for 3 months and after that, they pay around 10-15 thousand according to the fields. Isomes gives the opportunity to the students to work for the official site over different platforms where students can do the project, make the fact check with faculty and the dean will then post it.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total cost of college fees is 4 lakh 50 thousand of college. Currently, I am in 2 year so the placement or internship is given in 3rd year of the course which includes both paid and unpaid internships. There are no scholarships.

Campus Life

2

The annual fest hosted is manthan in March or April of year. Books are available in the college library but we majorly study from the notes given by the faculty. Classrooms are clean and properly arranged. No societies are made in the college.

Admission

There was no such entrance exam to get admission to the college. The process was simple as we just had to register and can directly get admission. The eligibility is min. 50 percent marks in 12th. You can get the application form from the website of some, you can register there and they will contact you. The admission process was simple and understandable. The college focuses on practical knowledge more so that children can work on their skills rather than theory.

Placements of our colleges and mediocre. From 6th semester students become elegible for campus placement. The highest package offered was 6LPA and the average package is 3-4 LPA. Placement depends upon the students applying for placement through college. Many students gets internships or jobs by themselves before even reaching placement cell.

Students become eligible for placement during their final year of college. DME offers several different companies that it has tie ins with for placements to students such as Gadgets 360, Aaj Tak, Myntra, PTI and D&P. 70-80% students get a good placement package. My personal plan following graduation is to pursue my higher education in correspondence with employment.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself was nothing out of the ordinary material, it teaches you the basics of the field but the faculties were pretty good and helped us understand not just the basic but a little more so that we could actually be able to work in the environment once we get there. Also they organise workshops which was mandatory for all the students without any extra charge to learn from professional what to do and how to do it best. We also used to get projects which actually helped alot in learning with practice the theory.
