Himanshu's Review On IIMT Engineering College, Meerut

Well, My college turned out to be good and in my favour even though i had some complains when I was there. But still, there are always some pros and cons in everything.

I took UPTU exam since I was not able to clear the other major exams. Admission process was normal and had to attend 3 counseling to get this college.

Course curriculum was quite good since it had other subjects apart from Engineering too which is actually necessary. My course had actually subjects like Psychology, Database Administration, etc which we need to know in our basic life.

Well, There were actually quite decent companies came for internship like Tata and all. They had not any kind of stipend though. It was more like apprenticeship.

There were pretty good placements in our time. I did not get placed though. HCL, HP, Tachyon, Syntel, etc came and offered decent packages too.

We used to celebrate all the events including Tech Fest, Teacher's day, Cultural events. We had once Band performances and all which wad really awesome. But Sports events were not so much good for college students though.

Fees were quite high but there were not much extra or miscellaneous fees which made it actually feasible according to college infrastructure. We had canteens and a good infrastructure with good facilities which makes high fees understandable.

We had scholarship based on OBC, SC quota and all. We did not have any kind of good scholarship facility which should actually motivate students. It was only for the students based on University topper.

We had equal numbers of girls and boys which made it perfectly co-ed college. We had separate cultural groups who were responsible for every events. We had some teams as well who organised some extra events for students.

Facilities of hostels were not good as much when we were there, but it got improved later when we were about to leave i. e in during our final year. PG's and outside hostels were there a lot since my college was not on Highway or something. It was easily

Well, We are in networks with our alumnis but not that much to our juniors since we had not much interaction as it should be. In our time, we used to interact with our seniors though.

Yeah! We used to have internals exams every months which was actually but hectic but since it is rule of Engineering so was good at some points too.

Our faculties member was quite decent and experts in their respective fields. Some were not up to mark though and had not much knowledge but it was overall good.
