Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course as I had an interest towards Biotechnology from high school. At Karunya, I had various faculties teaching me and most of them were professional with their teaching and helped us throughout. We had 3 internal exams which was conducted every month and a final semester exam at the end of the semester.

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 178500 per year

Placement Experience

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester but there has been only core company that has come for Biotechnology students till now and students who want to work after their course are finding it hard to get a job. I have to start applying for off campus since it is hard to get settled otherwise.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fees per year for my course was Rs. 1,78,500 and an additional fee for hostel and food. I got a scholarship from my CBSE 12th Board Results which gave me a reduction of Rs. 60,000 per year.

Campus Life

There is an annual fest named Megaplay that happens in December and a tech fest named MindKraft that happens in February. There is a diverse collection of books and journals in the library and various amenities in all the lecture classrooms. There are clubs such as IAESTE, E-cell etc. run by students for the students and many sports activities happening on campus.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facilities vary from 4 sharing, 2 sharing and single sharing and there are clean washrooms for the students to use. There are around 7 hostels and there are 5 types of mess that you can choose from. I have taken NRI mess and the price increases by around 10,000 Rs. for opting this mess but the food is a kind of luxury.

Hostel Fee: INR 36500 per year

Admission

Eligibility: Passed 12th grade with 50% in any 3 subjects from Maths, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Informatics Practices, Biotechnology, etc. The application form, fees and dates can be found on the website karunya.edu I had availed scholarship from my 12th board marks and got a fee reduction of 60000 per year.

Beyond the classes: My College Experience

Placement Experience:

Our college is well known for its placements. Almost many MNC companies like Amazon,TCS, visit our college and recruit the top performing students.Students are instructed to do 30 days of internship in remote,hybrid or industrial online before their 6th semester.During the 7th semester, students become eligible to attend the placements. The highes package offered previous year was 21 lakhs per annum and the average package is around 5 lakh per annum. Here students receive 3 options 1. Placement 2. Masters 3. Government Exams . As far off noe, 98%percentage of students who opt for placements get placed. I want to get placed after finishing my degree.

Many staffs work on the placement. Hence the placement is average . They provide interships and consider it as placement. Hence take a person with intern offer from the database. But only few finally get the employement offer and offers left unemployed.
