Living and Learning at GIM

I am going to major in HR and minor in operations. I have chosen this as I am interested in this field. Student to faculty ratio is 12:1. We have different credit courses and we have teaching that is in synchronous and asynchronous methods and we have 10% of classes are online. Faculties teach through ppt, case studies, and class presentation we also have group and individual assignments. Term exams are every 2 - 2.5 months. There is nothing as pass it's based on relative grading as long as you are above average you can enjoy to the fullest.

Details about companies can't be provided its against the rules but we have 4 streams in pgdm core and there are many roles in different fields that come to recruit students there are many life projects given by the college there are also exchange programs and country emersion projects.

It's quite good it depends from when companies come to college. We have 100% placement. Profiles offered depends on the branches and roles that students want. I want to work for 5-6 years and then start my own company.

Total fees is around 23 lacs in total including academics, 4 course meal, hostel, clubs, stationery, laptop etc. There are 2 financial aids one is for people who get through achievers round and other for people whose family income is less than 8lac per annum. We get internship from campus and we have to do it for 2 months with stipend ranging between 50k to 3lac for 2 months.

The campus is amazing the views are so good. As the campus is large you have to walk and that keeps you fit. We have classes from Monday to Friday and classroom labs, hostel, cafes are well equipped with wifi and in the classroom we have a projector and screen. There are various clubs and we have events almost every day. Each and every club is student-driven. There are different courts for basketball, volleyball, cricket, football, tennis etc.

For the first year, it's a dual sharing which is alloted by the college you can't choose your room Or roommate. Each room is well equipped with wifi each room has 2 bunkers, 2 tables and chair, 2 shoe rack, and 2 small tables. The meal is decent and we get a 4-course meal.

I prepared for 2 months and took the cat exam in November 2022 and I took admission in 2023 and the cutoff was 87 percentile but I got through the achievers round so the cutoff was 80 percentile. The application process was all present on the GIM website. I filled out the form in October then gave CAT in November and then in January process started first we had WAT then a recorded interview and then the final interview and I got through achievers round and secured a spot offer.

We didn't have group discussion as I came through achievers round so I had only one interview and it was easy basic the interviewers were very friendly when I had gone I was quite nervous but they calmed me down and them started questioning me and the experience was very good.
