I personally wanted to pursue my passion and future in English and literature, so for my convenience and availability I choose a college near my house. In English department five teachers are assigned who handle approx more than 180 students in a class of semester 4. In English department, three teachers are Drs with PhD degree and two are professors. Teaching methods are basic and the quality depends on the respective teacher. The lectures and class conducting methods are decent. Internals are taken before semesters exam and is decent in nature to pass.

Class Size: 187Course Fees: INR 7829 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees amount asked or year of graduation is quite decent and considerable. As such no campus placement and job offers opportunities are present for students of English department. Scholarship's are not available either and financial assistance is given as such to identify.

Campus Life

There are many fest and activities being conducted in the college campus including "Satrang" in the month of August and September. Availability of books and journals in the college library is moderate. Classroom is decent with sufficient benches and few Electronic equipments. Regular sports and extra curricular activities are being conducted. The is art club, music club and literary club running in the college on every Sunday.

Admission

Minimum of 55% marks in 12th was asked for in the admission of BA English Honours. As for application form and any information regarding it can obtained from the college office premises. The admission process was time consuming and hectic, hope so that gets solved in the future. No reservations are being benefited in the three year graduation course.

They provide all the three courses but as to which stream is the best then the answer would be Humanities . The teachers here are brilliant and very easy to understand for someone like me with a bit of ADHD .

Placement Experience:

The placement oppourtunity is very low as only rare companies visits our college and tgey select only few students and gives tgem the opportunity to work with them due to which maximum students faces employment difficulty. The rate of placement is only upto 20-30% .

I has a vision to study English from the very beginning. I wanted to study English since i was good at English and also the most important thing was me being an isce student upto class 12 which inculcated a strong English base in me English as a subject is very vast. As the world is heading towards modernisation English has become a very important thing. Gossner college has good English professors and also i heard a lot from most of my seniors that gossner college has best English faculty. The frequency of exam is 2 exams per semester where the portion tought in the syllabus is asked and it's not very easy and not very tough too

Actually I applied only for this college because it is nearer from my home and actually this college is quite famous in my hometown and i didn't apply in another college because this is kolhan university and the education is good in this college. Karim City College. An Affordable Option for Mass Comm Aspirants

The most important factor was the affordability compared to other colleges including within-state colleges as well as Inter-State colleges. Also, the Faculty was very inclusive as I took last-minute admissions and they were happy to take me in. The admission process was fairly easy they took the mandatory marksheets of Std 10th and 12th also the Aadhar Card and Parental Details and the fees were paid in Cash. Later after the payments I was provided with the prospectus and Other Information.
