CET exam , I scored 4020 and went for counselling in PTU and opted for this college , I selected electrical engineering and left civil engineering.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course was very good and I studied it and got job in PSTCL . Please do electrical engineering as this course has good scope in future . Course of electrical is good , best and better.

Internships Opportunities

When I passed out , then ressesion came and some company came that was not so good and 2 to 3 students of my batch placed but I have one thing in my favour that govt. exam came that time and 10 to 12 students cleared the exam.

Placement Experience

Placement was not so good , kalindee came and give 3 lakh per annum and infosys came and give 5 lakh per annum , nothing more company came. Two to three students placed in college placement.

College Events

One technical function organize by every branch in college , two cultural function organized every year , one is tarranum that is so big function that organize in three days , all branch took part in different games.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees structure is very feasible , it is not so very expensive as it is government college . Per semester fees is approximately 30000 with hostel fees of 2400 per semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

No there is no any good scholarship or laon facility offered by our college as I know , but there is education loan that offered by bank on a low interest rate.

Campus Life

Campus life was very good , labs are so clean and full of equipments , gender ratio is also almost equal in college , debates are often organized in college and robotics are organized once in a year.

Exam Structure

There are two semesters in a year and each semester has three M.S.T and one semester exam by PTU , labs are very good and we enjoyed in taking parts in experiment and we chilled out a lot.

Good campus life with decent academics

Placement are decent.Many companies visit the campus,but getting a good package depends on your skills and performance.Teh university also provides training support. Some companies like Deloitte,nexity consulting,Bigbasket,zepto etc visited are campus.

Life at Chandigarh University A CSE Student

Placement Experience:

As a BE Computer Science student at Chandigarh University, placements are decent but depend a lot on individual skills. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester, and most of the placement process happens in the 7th and 8th semesters. Many companies visit the campus every year like Microsoft, Amazon, Cognizant, Capgemini, TCS, Infosys, Wipro and some startups as well. There are a good number of offers made, especially from mass recruiters like TCS, Infosys and Cognizant. The highest package claimed by the university goes very high, even above 40 LPA, but those are for a very small number of students. Realistically, the average package for CSE students is around 5 to 7 LPA. Mass recruiters usually offer packages between 3 to 5 LPA. Around 70 to 80 percent of students get placed if they are consistent with coding and preparation. Those who depend only on college studies may find it harder due to high competition. The university also provides training for aptitude, coding tests and interviews which helps in preparation. After completing my degree, my plan is to get placed in a good product based company. At the same time, I am also focusing on improving my coding skills and working on projects so that I can aim for better opportunities or even higher studies if needed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

1) I want to go in construction industry so i chose this field. 2) Currently our college curriculum is updated so its relevant i will say around 70 to 80% . 3) For improvement Faculties should be brought from all over india as professors here are only concentrated from ludhiana itself. and labs are very old it should be upgraded. 5) In a semester there are 2 monthly exams and one end semester exam. 6) As far as difficuly level of exam is concerned it is not much difficult if someone solved PYQ thoroughly.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

I didn't apply for other colleges. I chose this college as it was near my hometown and there were circumstances which prevented me from going too far from home. That's why, I chose this college. The admission process is simple. You need to have passed your senior secondary education in any central and state board. Exams accepted are JEE Mains and Board examinations. 60% percentage is needed in PCM course in the senior secondary or in diploma course from any Institute or university. Application form is available online in the university website only.
