I did my internship from REIL, Jaipur. I worked on PDT in which we have coded for a automatic parking ticketing system based on Microcontroller.

In session 2014-15, 417+ got placed from our college. Which is quite awesome.

College Events

College annual cultural fest name is PRAVAH and Sports fest name is AAVEG. These conduts throught a week in the month of feb in which approx. Every college of RTU participates. This year Kumar vishwas and Gajendra verma had come on Celebrity Night.

Yes our college gives some concession to needy students whose parents are not able to pay full fees.

SKIT believes in the development of the students as a whole and strives to provide a climate that nurtures the holistic development of our students an environment that is trusting and spontaneous and encourages flexibility,celebration and recognition. The gender ratio is about 60-40 with respect to boys. There are too many clubs which will conducts on wednesday for extra curriculars.

Hostel Facilities

There are 2 hostels. One for boys with a capacity of approx 1000 rooms. And Second is for Girls with a capacity of 800 rooms. Fees is as per RTU guidelines. I will give 7/10 for food of mess.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum includes lab works, workshops and seminars. Which influence the choice to choose the course. But they are lacking to get hands on experience. Though they are guest lectures and seminar which is highly beneficial. Need to provide report on summer internship, industrial training, which is mandatory according to curriculum. Which helps in gaining hands on real life skills. But students still pass this barrier using fake certification and copied reports. And faculty is not strict about this. I believe the latest technologies which is not integrated in curriculum like AI/ ML ,recent frameworks , even if integrated not taughtd in depth. Like we have subjects AI , ML but no practical learning. Assignment are huge burden with little learning we need assessment that tests understanding rather than memorization. More subjects needed on softs skills especially in last year during placement season. Live project with company as all student are not able to land good internships. Frequency of exams like midterm( 2 in 3-4 months) ,practical( at the end of semester just after 2 nd midterm exam). End semester exams - 10-20 days after practical exams.

Above average college with affordable fee structure

The admission process for SKIT involves REAP(Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process) counselling. You can apply for REAP through it's official website. The merit is based on student's JEE rank and 12th aggregate percentage in PCM. The application form fee is merely between Rs. 200-300/- and registeration starts around the month of June each year. REAP is common counselling for colleges under RTU(Rajasthan Technical University) including SKIT. Students not able to get seats through REAP counselling merit, can apply through management quota which consists of roughly 10% of the overall seats for a particular branch....Read More
