All about IIM-L

I wanted to Pursue MBA, as i was always interested in corporate world The student,faculty ratio at IIM-L is about 6:1 and the faculties are very experienced, the mode of delivery is English, we have term exams every three month and within every term mid- terms are also there alongwith regular quizzes. if you study on regular interval it'll not be a hard task to pass but as IIM-L is known for its academic rigour any mistake from your end can cost you a lot.

Numerous reputed companies like Amazon, Flipkart, SBI cards, NPCI comes to the campus to recruit and they offer a handsome stipend for summer internships as well, for eg. in 2023 the average stipend was around 2 L. The projects differ from role to role it depends on which role you are hired for whther it is marketing or finance, operations, consulting genman etc.

As far as placements are concerned, the students gears up for summer intership placements in the first term itself just after the completion of first term they appear for summer placements and the final placements are held after the completion of 5th term. Many Reputed firms like TATA, Mckinsey, Bane etc.visits the campus to recruit every year. The highest salary offered in final placements of batch 2021-2023 is about 65 L and the average and median were around 30 L. The college has maintained its legacy by placing 100 percent students every year. Numerous amount of opportunities are there as a student of IIM-L.

The total couse fees is 1925000 (325000 every term) apart for this you have to pay the mess fee separately before every term, the hostels are included in the main fee you easily get a loan from banks for this. The college provides various financial assistance scholarships which you can avail based on the eligibility criteria. The campus placements are very good at IIM-L the college maintains its record of 100 percent placement every year.

The main fest of IIM-L is Mnafest varchasva which is being conducted in the month of february which goes on for 3 days. the library has many books and journals of all domains along with that you will find biographies and fictional books as well. The classrooms are well furnished alongwith all the amenities like projector, charging slots etc. Sports facilities are there as well icluding cricket, basbetball, volleyball, frisbee and many other games and the institute provides many other opportunities for extra curricular activities. There are about 38 clubs and committes which yoou can be a part of.

The rooms are well furnished with a single bed, a study table and chair, a spacious wardrobe and a balcony as well and common washrooms are there. the mess facilities are good as well the mess society of IIM-L known as the Annapoorna mess society serves 4 meals a day and the menu is revised every month and many healthy options are kept along with every meal. you dont have to register separately for hostel if you get admission you will be getting a hostel room as it is a residential course.

To get into IIM-L here's the summary of eligibility and admission process; 1- CAT exam- the primary requirement is to appear for CAT. 2- percentile required for general candidate is about 98 and for other candidates reservation policies are followed as per government norms. 3- keep an eye on the CAT official website for the important dates. Admission process- 1- Shortlisting 2- Shortlisted candidates are required to fill a candidate information cum appplication form for that specific college 3- Interviews are conducted and the locations will be among those which you will fill while filling the CAT application form. 4- Personal interview- questions on current affairs, hometown, graduation and work ex (if any) 5- Final selection- list of selected andidates is uploaded on the website and waiting candidates are also announced,

Alongwith my personal interview I faced written ability test at the time of admission my topic was "Impact of Russia-Ukraine war on global economy" the process is quite smooth you have to appear for the interview after getting all your documents verified before the inteview along with that you have to appear for WAT, you are being judged basis on both the tasks in the final marking.
