What Students Say

Likes

Serene environment and a lovely weather throughout the year.
Collaboration with fellow students and teachers.
Learning opportunity with electives, courses and class trips.

Dislikes

Cultural shock is one of the aspects that was not my favourite however, it was a new experience and I got to learn a lot in the span of 4 years.
Language barrier was another concern that was a bottleneck at times.
The food was really good however, the mess staff couldn't cook NorthIndian food that well.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is well structured and thought out including the opportunity to choose from wide options of electives. The best part about Karunya is the faculty members as they go above and beyond for their students.

Placement Experience

The University offers a well-defined placement fair both on-campus and off-campus. The package for the placements can range anywhere between 2LPA to 12LPA for undergraduate students. Companies from almost all sectors have placement drives at Karunya.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are various funding aids for students including merit-based and need-based scholarships. However, On-campus job opportunities are not available for undergraduate students. Nonetheless, there are benefits for postdoc fellows in terms of on-campus jobs.

Campus Life

The university hosts many technical and non-technical fests which allows the students to get a wholesome experience during the undergraduate course. There are multiple musical events organized as well including the annual Christmas festival.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel at Karunya University is one of the best in terms of hygiene and security. The hostel staff is reliable and caring of all the students. The hostel has various types of accommodations for students like single, double and four-seater accommodations.

Hostel Fee: INR 80000 per year

Admission

The admission process was straightforward to follow. The centre for entrance exams was available all over India including the furthest union territory of India, Andaman & Nicobar Islands which was where I took my test.

Beyond the classes: My College Experience

Placement Experience:

Our college is well known for its placements. Almost many MNC companies like Amazon,TCS, visit our college and recruit the top performing students.Students are instructed to do 30 days of internship in remote,hybrid or industrial online before their 6th semester.During the 7th semester, students become eligible to attend the placements. The highes package offered previous year was 21 lakhs per annum and the average package is around 5 lakh per annum. Here students receive 3 options 1. Placement 2. Masters 3. Government Exams . As far off noe, 98%percentage of students who opt for placements get placed. I want to get placed after finishing my degree.

Many staffs work on the placement. Hence the placement is average . They provide interships and consider it as placement. Hence take a person with intern offer from the database. But only few finally get the employement offer and offers left unemployed.
