The college is very good for people who are looking for great career oppurtunities if they could only improve the hostel and mess facilities, it would be the best NIT without doubt.

I took JEE Mains and scored 265 in it i was allotted Electrical and Electronics Engineering in the online counselling conducted by CSAB i opted for electrical engineering because there is plenty of scope in this field the admission process was quite easy and hassle free.

The course structure is pretty good with great focus on developing technical knowledge we have a lot of options in elective corses and can study whichever course interests us more the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department also focuses on research and is very supportive in this area.

Yes, there are plenty of companies that visit the campus for internships they offer andsome stipends to companies like ITC, SanDisk, Qualcomm, Texas Instruments, amazon, VISA etc visited the campus this year for interns the stipends range from rs 15000 p.m to rs 80000 p.m.

There are really good and reputed companies that visit the campus and most students are satisfied with the opportunities that their branch gets placements and job opportunities are really good with a large number of reputed companies visiting for campus placements these companies also offer large CTC packages and some students even got a package of rs 25 lpa.

We have a number of fests, the main ones are:festember it is the official cultural fest of NIT Trichy it attracts a large crowd and is very popular among other colleges too. Pragyan it is our cultural fest and is appreciated and taken part in by a lot of other colleges of southern India in addition, we have a lot of intra college festivals as well.

NITs are known for being cheap educational institutions the fees tructure was quite feasble for us but now fees have been increased by MHRD and it's a little bit expensive now tuition fees per semester is almost rs 40000 and hostel fees is rs 22000 there is talk of increasing the fees further but it hasn't been confirmed yet.

There are a lot of sholarships provided for students of NITT by governments, both national and state scholarship is also given by the college to toppers of each class availing student loan is not difficult and SBI in our campus easily provides loans to those who need it.

Campus life is good the gender ratio is unbalanced with 1:4 girls to boys ratio there are plenty of extracurricular and sports activity to take part in. There are plenty of workshops that we can attend too. There is no racial discrimination or any intolerance of any kind.

The hostel and mess facilities are below par to other NITs and no single rooms are ever given to B. tech students. The caterers in mess prepare food that doesn't taste good at all the campus also doesn't look very nice and lags behind other NITs in this a

The alumni network is very good and alumni take great interest in happenings of the campus and are always ready to provide help of any kind to juniors the RECAL group maintains a contact list of all alumnus.

There are 2 mid sem exams and one final end semester exam these 3 amount to 80% weightage in exams exams and labs aren't too hectic and it is pretty chilled out most of the time. The only hectic time is during mid sems when we have two exams per day.

The faculty is mostly good with some really good knowledgeable professors in our EEE department, there are many professors who are widely respected and have done some really important work though there are some professors who aren't upto the mark, but sti
