Why choose karunya university for undergraduate studies

The 4-year course covered almost all the parts of biotechnology including basic bioinformatics. Furthermore, general subjects for aptitude were also added. Well-trained faculties and professors were very helpful. Every student had an individual professor to guide them through their projects. There were three internals and one-semester exam for a subject in a year. The exam difficulty differs for each subject but attending regular classes and good preparation before the exam will be enough to get an average score.

Internships in and out of college were provided. Even abroad internships in Taiwan, South Korea and so on. Project-related internships and industrial visits were part of the curriculum and compulsory for all the students. So every student was able to get an idea of industrial and companies works.

There was a separate section for campus placements and department faculties were also helpful. From the third year, the students were eligible to attend interviews and separate coaching for students was given from the college side. For my department, the most important company to visit was Nestle and other companies like Zoho also visited.

The fees were moderate and compared to other engineering colleges it was affordable. There were scholarships given according to academic performance. With the help of a good CGPA, I did get a scholarship of 20000 for every semester.

The atmosphere in college is very calming with trees and gardens. There were annual fests and tech fests for each department. Evogen was a popular tech fest in per biotech department, with many activities including poster presentations, oral presentations and so on we're conducted. Many social groups per preference can be chosen. The most famous ones were the Youth Red Cross and NCC. Webinars and conferences were also present. The library was open for all the students during college hours and important books for each department were also available.

Hostel rooms and food menu could be chosen according to your preference. I opted for a single room, which had a separate fan, cupboard, table and chair and a South Indian menu as my food preference. Additionally, The hostels were cleaned regularly and the food provided was healthy. All stationery items were available inside the hostel.

The application form was available on the official college website. The admission requirements, dates and forms were also available. Additionally, the course syllabus and credit system were provided. I took an entrance exam after applying and got selected.
