- Infrastructure of the University is fantastic. It consists of too much open environment full of greenery like parks and playgrounds.
- There is a Games committee which have all the gaming facilities including Cricket, Football, Tennis grounds, Badminton courts, Swimming and Horseriding clubs, etc.
- The department has a library as well as there is also a central library of University with all the facilities.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course because my interest is in semiconductor devices like diode, BJTs, MOSFETs. I want to do job in VLSI domain. If I got chance in IIT via GATE 2024 then I will do MTech in this field. In my Final year batch there are 20 faculty members and 60 students. So there is one faculty mentor over 3 students. Most of the faculty is of Professors and others are Assistant and Associate Professors. Their method of teaching is good. With the help of presentation on the smart boardand white board they expalin the concepts and try to clear the doubts of students. For a semester, midsem examinations are going approx for 6 days while end semester examinations take about 15- 20 days to finish. Passing these exams are not difficult at all if we attend lectures of professors from starting of semester and even we get good percentage.
Internships Opportunities
Companies visit the campus for internship which are generally converted to the Pre Placement Offers if the work did by student is satisfactory. The stipend varies for different companies on a large scale. Many of the students got selected for MITACS research internship and went Canada who got upto 10 lakhs of the stipend.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for placement from the starting of the 7th semester. Various companies visited this year are Siemens energy, L&T, Jupiter Network, StarLabs, etc. Companies offer the pacement according to the different job role. Highest package was upto 14 LPA and average package of 5LPA. Approx. 25% of students gets the placement and remaining others goes for higher studies. My plans are to get admission in any institute by giving GATE 2024 for higher studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
I paid approx 18,000 rupees college fees in the first year. While in 2nd, 3rd, 4th year I paid 5760 rupees college fees. Financially weak students also received scholarship from UP government every year. Topper students may get the benefits of ONGC scholarship (50,000 rupees) every year.
Campus Life
Zarf fest is conducted every year. Every kind of books are available in library like for GATE preparation, semester examinations. Most of the classrooms have AC, projectors and smart boards for teaching. There are many clubs to enhance further engineering knowledge like IEEE RAS, EDIC Club, Robo Club. These clubs are for motivating students for doing some technical projects and works.
Admission
BTech course is offered by passing 12th class or diploma. Top 3 students of diploma get directly admission in BTech Course. While claa 12th passout students offered this course by appearingin Entrance Examination of Aligarh Muslim University. I find the application form on website of AMU and heard by my friends. I heared application fees and application dates from website and my friends. He gave me advice to took admission in this Central University instead of any state or private university. Fees is too less, so everyone is capable of paying. Internal students have some benefits as compared to external students. From my opinion admission process seems to fine, no improvement is required.
