Lots of Responsibilities along with Learning

This college is giving me opportunity to explore my hidden talents. The platform provided by seniors during induction program was my confidence builder. My experience of this college in simple words - I'm loving it.

I came to Sydenham via CET exam. DTE (Directorate of Technical Education) conducts CAP (Centralised Admissions Process) rounds for admissions for all colleges in Maharashtra. All the admissions are done via DTE process. Apart from CET, college also accepts CMAT and CAT score for All India Candidates. Cut offs for my batch were 99.62 Percentile for CET and 99.96 Percentile for All India quota.

I chose MMS(Masters of Management Studies) course. The course pattern is as per University of Mumbai norms. But student driven culture gives us opportunity to explore wider area in practical learning. Various intra-college sessions are carried out by students too. Apart from course, college also sponcer various extra curricular courses.

Many events are organised by various Committees. Some of the events includes-Store Wars, HR Conclaves, Confluence, Convergence, Simerations, Reminiscence, etc etc.

As Sydenham is government college, the fees are one amongst the lowest in India. As per 2017-2019 batch, fees are Rs 67,000 (annually) + 2000 (Library fee-refundable) The fee structure won't change for upcoming batch.

Scholarships scheme are available as per Government of Maharashtra's norms.

Many extracurricular workshops, Competitions, programs are carried out in college. Student Driven Culture gives flexibility to host as much activities as possible .

The hostel facility is available for students who are not from Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The hostel facilities are available on first come first allotment basis. Hostel food is decent. Fees for accommodation are extremely low ₹10000 per annum as it is Government Hostel.

College hosts Reminiscence (Alumni Meet) where all the alumni gather and meet with their batchmates. Sydenham Institute of Management Alumni Association is created for building contacts with alumni. Recently, Coffee with Alumni program has been kicked off, where renowned alums are invited and students in batch are allowed to interact with them over coffee.

Exam pattern is same as directed by University of Mumbai. But, more focus is given upon practical approach rather than written exam.

The faculties are knowledgeable and industry experts. Many renowned faculties come from various Institutions to teach us. Many Guest Lectures are organised via corporate experts to give glimpse of reality.
