Fees and Financial Aid
Fee hike is nothing but backdoor privatisation of public educational institutions where students and their families have to bear the cost of their education & the government is withdrawing from its responsibility by not allocating required funds. Fee hike of public sector educational institutions is further leading to the exclusion of common students even from the public sector the JNU is the best example to understand this phenomenon. The scholarship which I have got through my institute is minority. The minority scholarship has helped me alot and my family as because it provides me half of the amount of my fee back however it gets delayed though the government most of the time. Financial assistance that the college has provided me is paying fee in installments due to which our burden has got less Iam able to pay my fee in three installments. The job which I'm seeking to acquire is M&M through my campus as because it is annually paying 5 lakh per annum & I'm interested in the sector.
Campus Life
The annual fest which takes place in our college is named as "Sarang" and it is usually organised in the month of October while the tech fest is known "Techkriti" and it is organised in the month of February. A good library is judged by the effective utilisation of the resources and so our institute get stand strong on this and we are provided by books and journals properly. The amenities here are clean drinking water, good benches, learning through smart class projector, cctv cameras and proper ventilation. Participation in sports helps students to attain the optimum state of well being by improving physical coordination and enhancing strength. The sports activity which we do here is Running Race, Cricket, Kabbadi, Kho-Kho, Basketball, Batminton, Chess etc There are many social groups and clubs which are for students run by our college students some of them are dilkap_college_official on Instagram driems college of engineering on Facebook and some of there are on WhatsApp.
Admission
The eligibility for B.Tech course is kind of tough in the state of Maharashtra but still some how I managed to crack the entrance exam. The date for the application form and fees all were disclosed on the university site for technical board of education and as I belong to general category I was eligible for reservation benefits the only benefit which was provided to me was scholarship through the college in the category of minority. The only improvement I want to see in the admission process is there should be a proper reminder provided by the government for admission process and form filling dates through the email of respective students as because there are many students who forgot their specific dates for admission and some of them didn't even know that the process has been started. So, this the only initiative that government or the board should take for the betterment of the students.
