Remarks

All in all my college was very affordable, interesting and was a joy to get educated there. My college was a little strict but it is okay as it is a women's college. It was one of the top ranking colleges in Tamil Nadu.

Entrance Preview

No, I did not have to write any entrance exam to get admission to this college as there is no entrance exam to enter this college. I got into this college due to family reference and also as it was close to our home. Yes, there was an interview process which I had to follow. I chose this course as I was looking for a career in business administration.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course I chose was awesome. There was some practical learning encouraged, that can be like 40% of our syllabus. Yes, there are research initiatives taken by the institute such as projects, organizational learning, work environment, and so on. But there were no elective options provided for the main subjects, but they do provide for the language subjects.

Internships Opportunities

No, the college did not provide any internship to the students. But they do provide internship options to avail only for selected departments. And the faculties were co-operative and highly supportive when it comes to such matters or situations. But one has to definitely take the permission from the principal in order to take part in such events. I have no information about the stipend amount.

Placement Experience

2.5

The placement scenario conducted by the college was very good and interesting. The placements held were successful, as more than 40% of the students were placed only form my department. The major companies that visited the campus were many, some of which are, ‘Infosys, TCS, Biotique, Wipro, TechMahindra, and so on. The average package provided for a fresher ranged from “Rs. 13,000 to Rs. 15,000”.

College Events

4

There were some festivals celebrated in our college. The festivals celebrated were not that big but they did provide food on such occasions. I can say that the footfall was at an average of around 1000 people who attended the college functions. No, the organization, and the college authorities do not contribute to the arrangements of the Events held in the college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure for my course was pretty affordable for us. I had to pay around Rs. 50,000 for a single year. The college fees included Tuition Fees, Laboratory fees, Internet Fees, Library Fees, and several such other fees for every facility provided by the college. But they do provide the option to pay in installments.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, the college does not provide any scholarship facilities to any students. No, I did not apply for any scholarship as there was no facility. No, the college also does not provide any loan to the students. And they also do not help in getting educational loans. But the college does provide facility to pay the fees in Installments. However the faculties and other authorities do help the poor and needy by helping them to pay the required amount to enroll or by reducing the amount to be paid off by them.

Campus Life

3

Our college was pretty good in terms of Extra-Curricular activities, as we usually had many cultural events, such as Rangoli competitions, dancing competitions, Singing Competitions, and many such other activities. There were many ample opportunities provided to us by the college, using which I could definitely find my best of my inner talents. The facilities provided were also much better than what one might expect. Everything was to be arranged by the co-operation of faculties and the students.

Hostel Facilities

1.5

No, I did not have to reside in hostel, as I stayed near to the college. The Hostel rooms provided by the college had average sized rooms and the rooms were sharing. But they do not have PG’S as well. I do not know about the proper hostel fees, but I can remember a little that it was around Rs. 6,000 every single month. The hostel food was not satisfactory to anyone.

Alumni/Alumna

The Alumni network we had was pretty good, as several students used to visit our college and also give us tips and teach us many new facts that are existing in the real world. No, the college did not provide any platform for ‘Student-Alumni’ Interaction. The Alumni did contribute much in the overall development of the college.

Exam Structure

NO, the exams were chill culture to us. We normally had at least one-day holiday to study for the internals. And also, we had only one internal per day. The External Exams were also pretty good for us. They usually had around 2-3 days holiday between each test subject. There are no special arrangements made for the externals but they do provide drinking water.

Faculty

3.5

All the faculties are Ph.D. certified and but some of them were freshers as our college does take freshers for faculties. The faculties were really very interactive and they are always available as they have a very friendly nature. The standard of teaching was very good. Majority of the faculties were pretty good at teaching but some were still trying their best to improve.

Placement Experience:

The placement process begins from the third year i.e. the fifth and sixth sem. But be warned the placement is pure dabba. The companies that visited are goldman sachs, pick your trail, venture lts, greenbay, taj, audible, TCS, etc. the package varies from 3.4 LPA to 12 LPA. These are just peanut money btw. The college says there's 100% placements ( joke of the century) but in reality only 70% gets placed. I plan to do MBA from a different college.
