CET Bikaner

I had appeared for AIEEE(All India Engineering Entrance Exam ) in the year 2009. I secure all India rank 39826.

All the course work provided by the college was really effective for the theoretical, experimental and for research purpose. We had been taught C and C++ which helped me a lot in the project. some management subject was also the part of our curriculum which helped me to enhance my knowledge in that field.

College of Engineering & Technology, Bikaner does not provide any kind of internship. In our curriculum after the sixth semester, we had to do an internship of a minimum of 30 days. Students generally prefer NTPC, Kota, Bikaner Railway workshop, HMT Ajmer and Neyveli Lignite Corporation near Bikaner.

In the year 2013 placement scenario was not good. Few companies visited the campus, most of the companies were from the IT sector. Generally, TCS used to recruit candidates in bulk from all the branches. For Mechanical Hind-ware Limited, Honda, Cairn Energy visited the campus.

Generally few technical events and sports week have been conducted by the college. 'SAKSHAMA' was the technical event which is conducted generally in October or November. Few Inter hostel leagues were also conducted by the students to increase the brotherhood and to maintain the integrity.

CET Bikaner is an autonomous engineering college under the ECB Society. In 2009 When I had joined that time college fee per anum was Rs 47000 and hostel fee was Rs 33000. Every year there was was an increment of rs 2000 in hostel fee.

CET Bikaner does not provide any loan facility. For the loan, you have to visit your nearest bank. All the required documents are provided by the college very frequently. CET Bikaner had no any kind of scholarship plan but state government used to provide the scholarship to the SC & ST candidates.

Campus life is really fantastic. In summer season generally, we had to face the sand storm because ECB Society is located in the sea of sands. In every semester sports week, technical workshops, debate, paper presentations were organized by the departments. Hostel life was really awesome. In the campus, non-veg was completely restricted.

Engineering College Bikaner Society had a total of 13 hostels. Four hostels were inside the campus and the rest of them were out of campus. The college had given us a bus facility. Food and facilities were good. Every room was the two-seater. Few students were living in PG outside the campus. During 2009-13 the average expense in PG's was around Rs 5000.

I would like to mention here that the alumni network is very weak because college is not having any convocation program for degree distribution. It's really important to have a strong alumni network. There must be an annual alumni meet program. Alumni network really helps a lot in placement as well as an internship.

In India 15% seats of all the state level engineering have been filled through AIEEE, JEE Main(now) score.For getting admission, I did counselling through RPET. I submitted the demand draft of Rs 11,000 in favour of RTU, Kota(Rajasthan Technical University). After counselling , I got admission in CET Bikaner in Mechanical Engineering Department.

Faculty members had very good teaching skill and they were really supportive. Few faculties had vast experience of teaching and that experience helped us to get into the subjects deeply. In the mechanical department, course structure had been designed for theoretical and practical perspective both.
