Nature of the campus is very attractive!
Faculties are well educated and have PhDs
We have a big ground to do extra curricular activities

Bus facilities are not good because we are standing and going
Every Classrooms does not occupy a smart class
Canteen facility is not at all good and they provide average food

Course Curriculum Overview

Computer science and engineering has a very good scope in future and the faculties are well educated and well disciplined and further we get very good support exams are occurring in a very short period and it is not difficult to pass

Internships Opportunities

Many companies are providing placements and internships are provided by many colleges projects started in the last year and it is done individually or in group vice internship opportunities last for 1 2 3 days

Placement Experience

From semester 7th onwards we are eligible for the placement a number of companies are visited and they provide many offers to the students the average package is 25000. 50 per cent of the students get placed every year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is different and it is in 3 ways the merit seat is 35000 the management seat is 65000 the nei seat is 1 lakh I have gotten the management seat many scholarships are provided for schedule cast schedule tribe etc

Campus Life

Many books are available and arranged in a good manner the classroom has a smart class a Blackboard benches desks fans and light we have lab facilities for every branch sports arts and extracurricular activities are available we have a big ground and a big auditorium

Hostel Facilities

The hostel rooms are provided with very good room and in a room we accomodate 3 students the meal quality is average and we will be provided fish and chicken once in a week the staff of the hostel is well disciplined and very strict

Hostel Fee: INR 6000 per year

Admission

The eligibility for the course is 12th pass and keam entrance exam pass the application form is available online reservations are available for SC-ST fishermans children etc the application dates are convenient and we have to go to respected colleges and do further proceedings

IIIT KOTTAYAM - a Honest review

Placement Experience:

As seniors said the average package is around 10lpa.If you have descent skills and above 8 cgpa you will get this average package. If you upskill yourself with effort which many students do here then you can also get above 15lpa which many seniors got.The highest package was off-campus by an ECE Student in Google despite having cgpa around 6.He had very good skills as a full stack developer.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The length of course curriculum is very short. It is very difficult for both students and teachers to complete the syllabus in limited time period.The exam timing are also very conjusted and students are facing many difficulties because of it .

IIST - A good campus to live but with high restrictions.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is there in the campus.A lot of companies visit to the campus. From this year more private companies are visiting because of the breaking of bond with ISRO due to which students are getting good package.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.

My college is pretty amazing especially the environment and the beauty of it is on a different level i find it very adaptable for any student from any background moreover there are many extracurricular activities that you can participate and be part of. There is an entrance exam conducted by the central college for admission on merit. The eligibility for this entrance exam is +2 or equivalent. The application after the exam is submitted online or else you can complete it through government Engineering colleges.
