It is a government University constructed on 300-acre land. It provides courses in BSc, MSC, PhD in horticulture. The college provides field experience to the students by providing the field area and also there are fruit, and plantation orchards to study the plants. Also, there is lab equipment to get experience in tissue culture methods and there is a central laboratory with all the equipment. The teaching staff and the nonteaching staff are friendly in nature. All the professors completed PhD in their respective fields and provided vast knowledge.

Not many internship programs are provided. only the fertilizer-based companies and agro-industries will offer jobs that with not much-expected salaries. not many companies offer jobs. the internship program is not that good.

The fee is affordable per semester including the hostel which is nearly 28,000 and the mess bills are separate they have to be paid per month. It is affordable. No scholarship is provided but the fee is refunded Per semester-wise wise fee may be varied.

Some special occasions are celebrated in college like Vegetable Day and chrysanthemum Day, and so on. Some cultural fests are also conducted and inter-college sports meets are also conducted between horticulture colleges.
