There is huge library which includes different types of novels, and other text books etc.
There is a good facility for sports like football court, volleyball Court etc.
The teachers are so friendly so that you can shear anything with them

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because I am going for a polytechnical course. There are 60 seats in the mechanical department. The faculties are highly educated and some of them have PHDS in their specialized topics. The exams are conducted on the basis of notification from KTU University. They are on proper time.

Internships Opportunities

The internship is offered by different opportunity-based activities. IEEE, GDSC, and IIC offers different kinds of internship opportunity. The students in the Fourth year students Conduct different projects on their specialized beaches.

Placement Experience

The students who completed the course without supply are eligible for college placement from the fourth year. The placement is offered by different companies names Infosys, etc. The students who complete the course will be placed in different companies.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are several ways to get admission. Likely merit quota (entrance exam), management quota, NRI quota. The fee structure in merit quota is shown in the KTU site (35000), in management and NRI quota it varies from 4.5 to 5 lakhs. There are several scholarships offered by the college on the basis of marks scored and based on cast. They are very useful.

Campus Life

There are so many fests conducted by college committees and by students. Every year there is a fresher's day for newcomers. There are so many extracurricular activities conducted by student committees named IEE, IEDC, etc.

Hostel Facilities

There is a good facility for a hostel provided. The fee structures are also affordable. The meal quality given is just average and some days it is way too good. This is the best affordable stay compared to another homestay.

Admission

After I completed my diploma in mechanical engineering I entered this college for the exam named 'Lateral Entry'. I got the first allotment got this college. College staff will provide any help to joining here. Here all staff are friendly behavior and full support. This college provides a good atmosphere to study and more activities.

IIIT KOTTAYAM - a Honest review

Placement Experience:

As seniors said the average package is around 10lpa.If you have descent skills and above 8 cgpa you will get this average package. If you upskill yourself with effort which many students do here then you can also get above 15lpa which many seniors got.The highest package was off-campus by an ECE Student in Google despite having cgpa around 6.He had very good skills as a full stack developer.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.

The length of course curriculum is very short. It is very difficult for both students and teachers to complete the syllabus in limited time period.The exam timing are also very conjusted and students are facing many difficulties because of it .

IIST - A good campus to live but with high restrictions.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is there in the campus.A lot of companies visit to the campus. From this year more private companies are visiting because of the breaking of bond with ISRO due to which students are getting good package.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.

There is an entrance exam conducted by the central college for admission on merit. The eligibility for this entrance exam is +2 or equivalent. The application after the exam is submitted online or else you can complete it through government Engineering colleges.
