What Students Say

Likes

Good infrastructure and buildings and separate fields for every sport
Importance given to every sport's and other cultural activities
Friendly faculties who clear all our doubts.

Dislikes

Far from city region, due to this it is very difficult to travel daily
Complete Collage fees will be asked to pay at the beginning of the Semester itself, and it wil be very difficult to us to arrange the fees.
Although faculties are student friendly, but there are few faculties whose teaching will not be understood.

Course Curriculum Overview

I took the AI&DS branch because it has a great future in the software field. The faculties and student ratio is 8:60. Faculties are student-friendly and clear the doubts irrespective of how many times we ask . All facilities are well-educated, and most of them hold a doctorate. Semester-end exams are conducted at the end of the semester. Our college is under VTU University, and to pass we had to score 36/100.

Internships Opportunities

VTU Internships were conducted after the 2nd Semester. Till now I haven't seen any other companies who offered internships in our college. Currently, I am doing an internship at Varcons Technologies on Full Stack Web Development.

Placement Experience

3.5

From the 7th semester, students will be eligible for campus placements if they don't have any backlogs. Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, Sonata, and many other companies visit our college for campus placements. The highest package offered was 21lakh by Bosch company and the average package is 4lakh. Almost 60% of students will get placed. Since I am still studying I don't have any certain plans.

Fees and Financial Aid

Students who get government seat has to pay 100000/year. Since I got a low KCET ranking I had to opt management seat. SSP Scholarship will be provided by the government every year 18000 for all categories except the general category. As our branch has a good scope the fee hike will be approx 50000 every year.

Campus Life

Vismay(Annual Fest) is conducted in June month of every year. Tech fests will be conducted every year. All the textbooks of different authors of every branch will be available in the library. Vtu sports will be held every year and even our college will also arrange every sport's competition.

Admission

I took the KCET entrance exam, but I got a low KCET ranking(72576). I wanted to get an AI&DS seat, which had a cutoff of 60000 for the 3A category. So I didn't get a government seat, so I took a management seat. The application form will be issued when we get a seat in the online seat allotment (first, second, or third seat allotment).

From 6th semester we will get the placement assist .almost all mnc and top companies in india visits the college , namely cognizant ,oracle, tcs , infosys , capgemini , accenture , mu sigma , and many others along with startups . few companies offers direct fte roles, whereas few take students as interns and provide fte(full time employment).package will be between 3 to 36 lpa. rules during college placement drive are there will be 3 buckets , less than 7 lpa bucket 1 , 7-15 lpa bucket-2, above 15lpa bucket -3 , if a student gets any offer in specified bucket then he/she wont be eligible to apply for companies withe the salary range of that bucket. They provide international placement opportunities also , specially the zenken company collaboration , helps to get japan companies placement assist.

My honest review

Placement Experience:

Generally I pefferd this college because of the college's reputation in placments . Students generally get placed into company's in 7th sem . Generally companies like TATA, IBM, Infosys, Amazon , Wistron, Accenture, Xoriant, Hp etc . generally 800 + students gets offers . Highest package is around 30+ Lpa and avearge package is 7 Lpa .MY plan is to try for both placements and also Gate examination

Truth of Don Bosco institute of technology Bangalore
