Orissa joint engineering examination I cleared with rank 1400 in general category. I got an invitation for counselling to select college and course. I pocked CET and selected course BTECH in IT

Total 8 semesters. First two semesters were quite similar to 12th standard courses. From 3rd semester onwards we got branch specific subjects like c, c++, rdbms, software engineering , analog etc.

For computer science and IT Branch there was no internship available.for other branches like mechanical, electrical and electronics the internship facility is good and due to college reputation it was quite easy for students to get internship is good companies like RSP, NALCO,BSNL etc.

First company was TCS. 152 Appeared and 145 got selected. Than it was wipro, mindtree, infosys, vedanta. The best company was Microsoft. Only one student got selected. Overall it is one of the finest college from placement stand point.

Every year technical fest and annual function. Other than that yearly sports day. Also technical and industry tour for students with faculties to different cities and industries.

As it is govt college so college fee was reasonable and very less as compared to private engineering colleges. Hostel charges and food cost in the hostel canteen was affordable.

Yes the college give scholarship to top 10 percent students based on merit every year.so if u perform well than u would be able to get scholarship amount from college fund.

Campus life is not bad. You will get a chance to spend time with technically good students. Gender ratio also good. Parties and picnic are organised every year. Extra curricular activities too are organised and neighbours colleges are invited.

Hostel facility was average as it is govt hostel and you can't expect luxury lifestyle there. Good was good as it was under students control only. People's staying in private hostel or PG used to spend a lot on boarding.

College seniors were supportive and provided very good guidance for practical work and placements. In technical projects also they were suggesting us good ideas.

Faculty were really good as it is a government college. Regular classes n attendance mandatory.Lab work was strictly followed and students with less than 80% attendance were not allowed to appear in semester exams without valid reason or medical certifica
