Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

COURSE CURRICULUM: The course curriculum is designed in such a way that students get to know the real-life experience of technology. Each course is provided with project-based learning to get used to the working procedures of the IT companies. REASON FOR CHOOSING CSE: I wanted to get placed in the top MNCs/start-ups to contribute my part of the work with skills that I already have. My main goal for choosing CSE is because I'm very interested in data analytics and web development. Hence I've decided to choose CSE as it contains both of my options. FACULTY STUDENT RATIO: 1:15 QUALIFICATION OF FACULTY: Each faculty is chosen wisely by the university department. Faculty is chosen such that they are graduated either from NIT's or IIT's. Most of the faculty are P.HD's DIFFICULTY OF EXAMS: Students can pass the exam if they are attentive in class and follow the notes provided by the faculty. Passing the exams in KLH isn't a big deal for students.

Internships Opportunities

4

COMPANIES : Microsoft, Google, IBM, Amazon, DE SHAW, Cognizant. PROJECTS AND OUTCOME: Students get to know real-life problems and their corresponding solutions while working on the projects.

Placement Experience

4

PLACEMENTS: The university provides campus placements for the students. They conduct a CRT (Campus recruitment training) where students are trained in terms of coding. They also provide training on communication and reasoning skills. PLANS AFTER GETTING DEGREE: Get into a company and showcase my skills. If everything goes right, I'll plan for a start-up.

Fees and Financial Aid

FEES STRUCTURE: TUITION FEE:250000 per year, TRANSPORT FEE:37000 per year. OPPORTUNITY FOR SCHOLARSHIPS: Scholarships for the students are provided in the form of concessions. If a student secures a grade higher than 9, then the concession for the candidate will be 31% of the fee. For example, if a student gets higher than 9GPA, he/she has to pay 1,97,000 as 31% of the whole fee(2500000) is reduced.

Campus Life

3.5

FESTS: The university guarantees the conduction of a minimum of two fests per year. Conduction of these fests has no proper month, like whenever the students are not dealing with exams, then the management plans for the fest. AVAILABILITY OF BOOKS IN THE LIBRARY: Students are provided with all types of books and journals in the library. The needs of the student are taken into consideration and then consequent actions are taken by the library management. SPORTS: Sports classes go on decreasing as we reach higher classes. Beginning of the academic year, we will be provided with a decent amount of sports classes. But when we reach to 2nd, and 3rd years the sports classes mostly disappear.

Admission

ADMISSION PROCESS: The university conducts an entrance exam named KLEEE, where students can apply online and appear for the exam. If a student secures excellent marks in EAMCET, JEE, and IPE. There is no need for them to apply for KLEEE as admission for them will be taken directly. The application process can be done in online/offline mode at your convenience. The cut-off for the entrance exam would be securing above 75%. ELIGIBILITY: In the 1st year, all the departments(CSE, ECE, AIDS) will have similar subjects. Further, the courses are based on the branch the student has chosen. A list of courses will be provided to the students to choose the subjects which they belong to, KLH has groups divided into two categories: HONOURS and REGULARS Hence the students are suggested to choose the courses based on their group. RESERVATION: There is no reservation system for the students. Every candidate should pay the same tuition fee.

Placement Experience:

From 4th sem itself students are eligible for placements. Although students get access to paid internships from their 1st year itself, just they need some effort. But as NIAT is yet new and no batch has passed out yet so we still don't have the exact placement percentage rate. But as we are getting paid internships from 1st year itself so it's very evident that placement would also be good

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement cell is least active.. Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
