AMCAT examination. Amity university own examination. Round 1- written. Round 2 - face to face discussion

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course curriculum is very much industry oriented with focus on real assignments related to job market. Very much exposure to public speaking, group tasks and ownership. University is research oriented and provide support to all who wants to pursue research, file patents, write paper etc. Which very much add to your cv in job market.

Internships Opportunities

Back in 2009, few companies offered internship, so we had to search at our own. I did my internship in siemens through some reference.I was not paid any stipend ad at that time getting internship was not very easy. But in todays startup generation, i dont think getting good internship with decent stipend is difficult. There are many options provided you have some good project experience in academics and command over one proramming language.

Placement Experience

4.5

Many it companies came for campus with provide bulk recruitments to interested job seekers. To name few: accenture, hcl, techm, tcs, dell, aricent tech, nec, r systems, etc.Average pay package offered was 3.25 lacs

College Events

5

Tech fest evey year with 4 days various events like gaming, project demonstraton, poc for new technologies, cultural events and last day with some star nights like jal band, sonu nigam, sunidhi chauhan, euphoria etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees is expensive as compared to other private colleges but the value and facilities that the university provides is way above than any currently available in india. But yes at my time it was really well ROI

Fees and Financial Aid

College offers very good scholarship for students securing good percentage in class 12 with around 25% to 50% and even sometime 100% tutoon fee scholarship for outstanding candidates. College have tie up with nationalized bank inside campus which provide hassle free student education loan.

Campus Life

5

Generally girls prefer other courses than btech. But still in a class of 60 studnets, you will find 20 girls and 40 boys in btech.Computers. Generally girls preferred more electronics at our time and very few mechanical. Highest number of girls were in biotechnology course with average of 45 per class with 60 students.Hostellers enjoy more than day scholars as they frequently had parties and group nighouts.Amity is ragging free campus so all anti ragging activities are carried out very seriously to make sure all students feel safe and happy.I have never experienced any descrimination in my college life in terms of caste, religion, gender etc.

Hostel Facilities

5

Hostel is very comfortable with friendly atmosphere everywhere. Food quality is really good in mess plus campus have so many food outlets like dominos, ccd, etc which leaves no doubt in getting good food for hostellers and day sholars ad well

Alumni/Alumna

All the college alumni were really helpful. Our technical placement incharge made sure that alumni provide full guidance in terms of there industry experience and placement rounds at there time so that studnets get clear picture of the real world.Placement cell maintains comminication with alumni and invite them to campus from time to time.

Exam Structure

Exam structure was well sort of. Two internals of 30 marks each (best of 1 considered) and one major external of 70 marks at end of semester. For practicals we had lab for 100 marks which generally is quite scoring if student is paying good attention to la

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is well structured and keep up with the evolving trends of industry. It balance Theoretical and knowledge and practical application, helping students build a strong foundation in core subjects like programming mathematics and engineering fundamentals. The curriculum Includ Laboratory session Projects and tutorials that enhance understanding beyond the textbooks It also allows students to choose elective in later semester which adds flexibility and depth to learn. In terms of revevance, most subjects are designed to align with current industry requirements especially in field like computer science and electronics the inclusion of emerging technologies such as ai data science and web development makes it quite comprehensive. However a few areas could be improved such as integrating more industry based project and updating some older Syllabus to match modern tools and frameworks. Overall the curriculum is relevant ,comprehensive and career-oriented providing a solid base for both higher studies and professional development.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This criteria for choosing the college was because of placements. The curriculum Is outdated and not as per the industry requirements. In 1st year we are taught only one language and which is of no use.... That is C. But in other universities, students are taught languages like java, C++, python in their 1st year. Teachers are good. I have no issues with them but I have issues with its curriculum. Exam are taken so much which are according to me good as they prepare as for university exams but as I consider placement point of view so students do not have enough time to prepare for their placements, learning new skills as we are supposed to study for exams otherwise we will have to attend extra exams and classes and will lose internal marks. So having many exams have both benefits and drawbacks.
