Course Curriculum Overview
Right from the beginning I was a tech enthusiast and loved experiencing new apps and games. This developed interest for IT inside me. Also I knew that scope for job placements in final year was way much more in IT and CSE rather than other branches. Generally, in each class, there are 60 students, and each class is assigned 1 class coordinator. So, I can say the ratio is 60:1. From my personal experience, I can say that 90% of the teachers are highly qualified and have immense knowledge regarding their subject. But in some rare cases when teachers were assigned new subjects for the first time, we faced problems in those subjects.
Placement Experience
Generally, the placement drives for on-campus companies start from the 6th semester. You might see a banner in front of our college saying 100% placements, but that's not the complete truth. The actual number of students getting selected on-campus is around only 60%. And the majority of them with small packages don't even get the joining letter. The rest of them get jobs on their own by applying for off-campus jobs.
Fees and Financial Aid
For my batch, the fees for one year was Tuition fees 52,000, Naac fees 3000, Exam fees 1500 per semester ( 3000 for 2 semesters i.e. 1 year), Scholarship/ Financial Assistance JVD(Jagananna Vidya Deevena) This scholarship is for students with poor backgrounds who are financially unable to pay college fees. The AP government pays complete tuition fees on behalf of that student. If you are eligible for this scheme, then you can apply for this at the time of admission.
Campus Life
Yuvatarang is the grand annual fest that is conducted in our college yearly. It contains a lot of technical (like web development hackathon) and non-technical events(like script writing, videography, etc). Also contains a lot of competitions in which you can participate and win cash prizes worth 5 lakhs. It's generally conducted in February. Tech Fest contains a lot of tech competitions like Hackathon, Ideation, robo-car races, etc. It's generally conducted once in 4-5 months. The library named "Vignana Dhara" contains a very large amount of books segregated branches in order. You can issue any of those books for 14 days. The classrooms are spacious enough with good ventilation and benches made of good quality wood and iron. Each class is allocated a sports hour once a week. And sports competitions are held every 2 months.
