What Students Say

Likes

I like the labs of PSIT Kanpur as they are very well furnished with proper arrangement of seats and good systems
The washrooms are neat and clean with a good and neat canteen
I like the teachers as they are very helpful and beautiful

Dislikes

I a bit dislike the strict and digit attendance system of the college
I do not like the librarian as they are very rude and strict
I do not like the mother who roam around me

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because of its good placement and as CS branches of B. Tech are quite popular these days and with a specialization in AIML. All the faculty members are highly qualified with doctorate degree in their respective fields. Exams take place every three months for CT examinations and every month for assignment examinations.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 180300 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no such thing as a fee hike. But yeah as per the given criteria fees do increase and I don't find it anything difficult to pay the fees. There is no particular scholarship, but yeah you can avail scholarship from UPTU because the college follows the guidelines of UPTU.

Campus Life

The annual tech fest takes place Takes place in the month of February and there are many other tech fests. Like we have an event named waves for Freshers and we also have a sports event named footprints. Pur has the biggest library among private colleges in Kanpur and there are quite a number of books available for students for free there are many extracurricular activities which include football, basketball, cricket, dancing, singing, drumming, beats, etc. There is a page named PSIT Instagram, which is for students and by students.

Admission

The eligibility criteria of this college are very flexible. The college allows up to 60% more than 60% for admission in Btech CS branches. Application form, application, fees, and application details are available on the website of PSIT Kanpur itself. The college doesn't have any reservation policy. everyone is treated equally. No external benefits are provided. The college is strict in discipline and all the students are required to follow the particular curriculum and obey all the rules.

Overall Feedback for College - Admission , Placement , Course , Faculty , Events

Likes

the security is nice at my college like proper cctv and guards , apart from that labs , and my dept is too good. Ac classroom and labs
They have provided average placement like most of companies are mass hiring like tcs and accenture ..and only few companies come to offer big package
Infrastructure is good but there is need of reconstruction at some places the water is ticking in rain season continuously, and curriculum is okay okay not that much relevant to industry , they taught text books rather than the real practical cases

Dislikes

The examination checking - the student who is cr or having any relation with teachers got highest marks without writing the answer properly
The food canteen first of all the canteen is off from the past 1 or 2 year and now it reopen but it sells dirty food , waste foods
The college professor support , they are not that much supportive

Course Curriculum Overview:

coding I am interested in coding that why I offer this course It provide some courses but not all courses are related to real world they have to use practical examples and make students aware of the real industry According to me the time and frequency is okay of exam

Sports Activity are the great , there are too any ongoing activities in different time interval.

What I See at SRM Ghaziabad

Likes

I really appreciated the college clubs and hackathons.
There are variety of events throughout the semester, something to always keep you on your feet.
Some of the faculties are really really experienced and have a unique approach that captures the attention of all the students.

Dislikes

Not many hotspots around campus to hang out after classes.
The infrastructure of the hostel can be improved a lot.
Food in mess is not great, the menu is not very diverse. Everything has aloo.

Placement Experience:

Placements are actually impressive with our college having the highest placement rate among others in the region. We usually achieve ~90% placement. We get opportunities from many large groups, such as Infosys, TCS, JPMC, BNY, Logitech, etc etc The list goes on. The highest package that I saw was of around 1Cr from a company I don't remember their name, but it was based out of SF and was a really great one. Average placement we see is around 12-20LPA packages.

The campus has less places to spend some free time other than some spots.
Due to small academic hall places may look too crowded.

Placement Experience:

The placements in the college is really one of the the factors convincing everyone to take admission in SRM ,average package from the college is of around 10,00,000 which is really a very good amount in todays stresfull market.

the only reason i choose this college was because i availed fee wavier and our financial condition was not so good back then. I failed to score good marks in JEE advanced or else i would've enrolled in some iit. The college does try to match its pace with tier 1 colleges but there's a lot more to be done. The college has direct as well as counselling based admission. Direct admission include a test and interview while counselling is done on the basis of competitive exam score...Read More

for computer science and engineering you must have given jee main in which your rank should be under 500k and must have more than 75% in maths, physics, chemistry. you can also directly apply for that course; you just have to take the admission test on campus and clear the interview round. The admission test on the campus is based on the basic application of maths physics chemistry as well as aptitude. according to your score, you will be allotted the branch of computer science. admission starts after the first attempt of jee mains. you can apply for college by visiting the campus if you want admission directly or can apply through UPTU counseling. application fees vary from course to course. you can get the reservation benefits from the counseling process, but for direct admission, you can ask for the reservation benefits from the management present on the campus. the admission process is quite easy and fast. you have to be active because the seat gets full within a month or two....Read More
