Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I scored 86.47 percentile in CET 2019 which was pretty less compared to the cutoff of the other colleges in which I was aiming for the Computer Science branch. As this college has the same cut-off as mine, so I was sure that I would get it. The faculties in my college support and help you in your academics as well as extracurricular activities. The ratio of faculty to student is 1:15. Each student is assigned one faculty which is also known as GFM (Guardian Faculty Member). The faculty in the college are highly educated and completed their degrees from well-renowned colleges. And they are good in their teaching career. So the engineering is of 4 years. Which is divided into 8 semesters. Each semester has an In-Semester (which is of 30 marks) and an End-semester ( which is of 70 marks). In each semester you have 4 - 6 subjects (vary according to the course you choose). The subject is easy if you put your hard work into it and attend the classes. So passing the exams is an easy task.

Internships Opportunities

5

Companies I was placed in HCL and TCS where the package is 3.4 LPA. The role was the Tech support. In my 3rd year, I applied for an internship. I got an internship in Elite Software which was provided by the college and there was no stipend as it was based on educational training. Also, I did an internship at Tech Solutions where they provided a 10,000 rupees stipend every month which was pretty decent for the student and also helped to gain experience in the Software field and let me know the outside world. At the end of the engineering, you need to do at least one main project which will directly go into your research resume and also count in your academic. Over the project, you gain knowledge of multiple languages and the framework, and working with them gives you a better understanding and you implement your knowledge in it. The project helps you to strengthen your resume so focus on your project. Keep in mind academic achievements also make your profile stand out.

Placement Experience

4

In 6th Semester which is the start of Third-year students become eligible for the Campus Placements. Multiple companies associate with the college gives the campus visit and recruit the students. Good companies like TCS, HCL, Vipro, Cabgimini, Quickheal, and many more give their visit, and after the multiple selection rounds they recruit the students who passed all the rounds. The package provided mainly depends on the company and the role offered by them. The package varies from 3.4 LPA to 5.5 LPA. The average package is 3.5 LPA which is decent for the fresher considering all the attributes. Depending on the student's profile and his academic education background they offer packages likewise. The eligibility criteria for placement in good companies is the student should have 8 CGAP and 60 percent in all his academic background. You should be all clear in your course subjects every semester. If the student meets the criteria they are eligible for the placement drives.

Fees and Financial Aid

As engineering consists of 4 years approx. for all branches of engineering. The average fee is 1,02000rs to 1,20000rs to be precise. And according to me overall it's affordable and if you belong to a category then you have more opportunities to get fee concession in it. Also if you get admitted through the Cap round you will get a scholarship from the college for your academic education. If you fill in all the eligibility criteria you will avail of the scholarship. Grenal Cast students whose family income is below 1 lakh rupees will avail of the 50 percent scholarship. You will also get a scholarship on your hostel fees if you meet the criteria. And for a stipend, you are eligible after the 6th semester or 3rd year. The average stipend will be 5 lahks and so on. And if you belong to a category then you have got more opportunities for it. It also depends on your course. And the company too. According to me, the fee structure is affordable and if you are from a reserved category then you have more opportunities.

Campus Life

5

As a student, I enjoyed my college life. As the campus size is decent and the college life is good. There are multiple festivals celebrated in college with come in the academic calendar. Everyone takes part and enjoys it. Overall college life is excellent and enjoyable. The college has one big library with all kinds of books that interest the students. There are multiple Amenities in the classroom like a Projector, Whiteboard, and TV. The size of the class is decent and the benches are pretty comfortable. As mentioned the college also has a ground where various sports and activities are performed by the college. The college also supports students in their extracurricular activities if the student is interested in one. The faculty member is assigned to it. There are multiple social groups and hackathons conducted in college which are part of the fest and the social activities. There are multiple clubs where students can participate and enhance their social skills and come forward and put their thoughts.

Hostel Facilities

4

The facilities provided by the college are excellent. The college provides the parking for the student's vehicle. And have a canteen which provides the decent tasting food which is healthy and nutritious. Meal costs around like 80 to 120 per person and varies according to the order made by the student. The college also provides a mess for the students where students can buy the meal at added prices. The mess costs around 2500 rupees per month. A wide number of students prefer the mess as the food tastes good. There Cafeteria on the college campus where you get snacks and essential food items. The hostel is on the college campus so you won't have to spend on your traveling and saves you time too. Hostels are affordable they charge 35,000 rupees for 1 year. You may also get it back if you are eligible for a scholarship. As the college is located in Bavdhan. In a radius of 2km, you may get good PGs or you can also rent a room near the college campus if you are sure about the college hostel.

Admission

The eligibility criteria for the Computer Science course is, that you should at least have 85 percentile to get admitted. The percentile varies according to the Cast of the student. Where students can take advantage of it. Also, you should meet the criteria of 150/300 marks in you will HSC for the core subjects (Physic, Chemistry, Math). To apply to the college you can apply through the CET application portal. And for more details about the college you can visit the college's official website or directly to the college if possible. If the student has any kind of reservation, it is helpful for the student to get admitted to college. Students who fall under Cast have reservations about the seats and the percentile criteria is also less as compared to the General Caste student. In 2019 the eligibility criteria for the Computer Science course was 88.6 percentile for the 1st Cap round and till the 3rd Cap round, it was approximately 86.43 percentile. And it keeps varying each year. There is no need for any improvement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As this college is under mumbai university so this college cannot modify syallbus in their own the have to strictly follow the university prescribe syallbus, academic timelines, rules and norms of the mumbai university. I have taken the admission in this college in the year 2024 from this year the NEP-2020 was adopted by the every indian universities and instituites. Since NEP-2020 was adopted also by mumbai university some new subjects are added to the syallabus that are oriented to financial literacy,Entreprenuianl, indian laws related subjects the syallubus of this subject is very good to see in the syallabus pdf. But the ground reality is different this subject is not given much importance by faculties the are treated as not much important subject as their are not related to our course as a result the students also take these subjects lightly. Also the professors appointed for this subjects are not much good they appoint the faculties who are recent graduates of their college who are working now as a professor in the same college. The college treat this subject lectures as an practice for the fresh faculties to gain experience of how to teach students. The core subject syallbus is same not changed the mumbai university has just changed the name of the subject. The college professors just teach the subject but they do not teach in that way that it makes us ready for real world problems. And also in the first year all the subjects are common for all the branches of the engineering which consist of subject like physics, chemistry, mechanics,Basic electrical Electronics,Engineering Graphics. It is my opinion why should an student who is studying an course called Computer Engineering so why should i read the subjects of the other branches like civil, mechanical, electrical and electronics in my first year instead of my domain subjects for whole two semester and the timespan of almost an year

Placement Experience:

The placements offered by my college are outstanding compared to other colleges in my area. Almost all students become eligible for campus placements in the 7th semester. Big tech companies like Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and IBM visit the campus for recruitment. Major tech companies such as TCS, Infosys, and Capgemini hire in bulk from this college. Other non-tech companies like JCB, Tata Hitachi, and railway companies also visit the campus for core branches. Approximately 90% of students get placed in this college according to their skills. My plan after completing my degree is to get a job in a top company like Google, Microsoft, IBM, or NVIDIA and settle abroad with a luxurious life permanently.
