Remarks

Despite being a bit strict, the college management always works for the betterment of the students.Students may find some actions unnecesary, but they do understand the need in the long run.

Entrance Preview

No entrance exam is needed to get admission in BCA.The merit list is prepared based on the marks obtained by the student in H.S.C examination(Std. 12th) and an interview is conducted for shortlisted candidates.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course includes all the basic knowledge that you need to understand about computers.Languages like C,C++,HTML,Java and database like MS Access and SQL.It is designed in such a way that those who don't know anything about computers will develop the ability to improve their knowledge as well as learn more advanced languages in later years.

Internships Opportunities

These opportunities are mostly not preferred by students as most student pursue Post Graduation, but the college does provide the information to the students if any such opportunity comes along the way.

Placement Experience

3

Placements are not conducted in the campus but the college does arrange for placements conducted in other institutions. Most students don't go for jobs after BCA so I don't have much information about the package.Placements were conducted by Infosys and Wipro during our batch, many students got selected too.

College Events

5

Our college is quite popular in our city for the events celebrated.Culfest is celebrated annually for three consecutive days, various events like dance, acting, etc are organised.Sportsfest is also conducted for sports lovers with various division competiting within themselves. The participation is quite good. The college encourages the student to participate in these events but at the end of the day,its your decision.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees during 2015-18 ranged from 25000-34000,but its quite reasonable considering the expenses for computer labs, good classrooms and a well equipped library. Some extra fees is also taken for parking from those who bring scooters to college, but its reasonable.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have no exact information about any such loans or scholarship, but they do help the poor and needy.Their highest priority is to provide good education irrespective of financial or other problems.

Campus Life

5

Campus life in our college is quite good, people are very friendly here.People from different caste, race and economic background but no discrimination can be seen here. Our college usually avoids political activities. Various competitions are organised by our institution which encourage research and development.Grounds for all sports are there which are open to students forever.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The boys hostel is located within the campus while the girls hostel is located a bit far,but within walking distance from the college.I didn't lived in hostel, but it is quite well maintained and the rules and regulations are legit. Also, there are many PGs' available around the college, the expenses are different from place to place.Mess and canteen are also there, who provide very good food.Canteen is a memorable place for all students.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors in our college were very friendly and they helped us with our doubts and problems. It is always advisable to discuss any doubts with seniors as they already have experienced them before. They have an alumni association, through which the ex-students contribute in any capacity they can.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is quite similar to other colleges, but our college focuses a lot on internal assessment too.Assignments, presentations are given a lot of importance here. Also, students need to maintain a required amount of attendence, else they are detained. Two internal exams and one External exam are conducted.Internal evaluation is of 30 marks, while External exams is of 70 marks.

Admission

First of all,you have to fill the admission form online. In that form, you have to provide some basic details as well as your result of Std. 12th.The cost of form is around 150.Then the college will call yoou for an interview if you are shortlisted. In the interview, they will ask you some basic questions about the field and about your activities during your school days.

Faculty

5

The faculty of the college is one of the reason why you should join this college. They are very qualified and experienced in the field of Computer Science as well as teaching. They are always ready to help you within their capacity and very friendly with students.

Remarks:

Advantages: without these new opportunities, many students would never have realized a college degree was still possible. The advantages include: 1. Reduced Cost The competitiveness for enrolling students in online courses (or to complete degree programs), literally from across the globe, has created a marketplace that enables students to enroll in almost any course provided by dozens of institutions. This competition has driven both the cost to the institution and the price for the student downward due to almost unlimited enrollments. 2. Accessibility Similarly, the online course environment and proliferation of such opportunities enables students to enroll in courses at multiple times during the calendar year and to complete the required work for each course on their own time, that is, around work, family and other personal obligations. Students are also able to complete courses at a single location, usually their own home, a library or some other designated space. The alleviation of time and space restrictions for learning is a tremendous enhancement to this degree completion opportunity. 3. Fulfillment of Dreams Perhaps the most significant of the results associated with these opportunities for many students is the realization they are able to earn a degree, which might have seemed unattainable until now. Many of the barriers to completion are removed from their paths and a college degree is suddenly within reach. Disadvantages: capitalizing on these opportunities may come with some risk. The consumer of any commodity must always acknowledge the “buyer beware” warning label, and this is unfortunately also true with higher education. Some disadvantages (warnings) include: 1. Inflated Expectations (especially for transfer) Sometimes students may become so enthralled with their new opportunities for courses they might make assumptions about how their newly-earned credits will apply to their previous degree program or transfer to the institutions they previously attended. Academic policies at a former institution might allow for limited courses taken at other institutions, have time limits on specific courses or have substantial changes in degree requirements. Clearly, students must confer with the institution from which they intend to earn a degree before enrolling in courses. 2. Coherence of the Degree Program When students take advantage of the multiple and varied opportunities for completing courses that enable them to advance their degree, they often succumb to the simple criterion of availability — if it meets a requirement, it’s okay. This principle might be true, but the relationships of the total curriculum could easily be lost in the disconnectedness of taking courses from many different sources. This is not to say students do not learn from each course, but that the integration of course content may not be obvious when left to the individual students to infer. 3. Vulnerability Unfortunately, there are course and degree “providers” engaged in this new opportunity that are not as ethical, or even legitimate, as most are. Misleading advertising can be very compelling to the eager and unsuspecting student, especially since there has been so much positive press about these expectations and opportunities. However, diploma mills do exist, and the student is responsible to verify a provider’s status. Also, some institutions may mask their lack of specific accreditation(s) in order to attract unsuspecting students. Such accreditations can be especially relevant in professional and licensure programs, and even in traditional liberal arts and science, business, health care and other areas.
