Remarks

The college is good but too old. The college has provided every facility for the students. The only bad thing about this college is the toilets. The labs are old but the components in the lads will be replaced every year. The infrastructure of the college is good.

Entrance Preview

I did not write any entrance. This college is having journalism course which I am interested to do. So, I landed up in this college. there was no interview process followed during the admission. My interest in journalism made me to chose this course.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course is having a vast field where we can explore our self and also this course is very good for learning. The course gives good practical knowledge but the college has not given that facility, only for the journalism course since it’s a newly introduced course in this college. the institution takes good research initiatives. The elective subjects are only two and they are kannada and English.

Internships Opportunities

There are no internships in this college. no one are interested to do internships in their respective courses. And also, I dint have much idea about it.

Placement Experience

3

The college has not given any placement facilities for our course. We have to go out and search for the jobs. For some course the placement is provided but most of them go to do masters after finishing their courses in this college.

College Events

4

The college is good in organising the cultural events and fests. The events will be always big. The footfall will be very huge. The organisation will be good and the college authorities also supports for the same.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is affordable and yearly we are paying 2500 this includes every facility given by the college for the one full year. Since this college is a government college, the lower-class people have to pay only 800 for the one full academic year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college gives some scholarships every year. I am not getting any type of scholarships. The college supports for taking loans.

Campus Life

3.5

The college is good in terms of extracurricular activities. I have not got any opportunities to participate in any of the events. The facilities given during the same will be always good.

Hostel Facilities

3

The college is not having any hostel facilities. So, I don’t have much idea about it. Every on travel from their home. No one from other places come to study in this government college.

Alumni/Alumna

The college is not having any alumni interaction and the college has not provided any platform for the student alumni interaction.

Exam Structure

The exams and labs do not make us to frequently feel tired at the end of the day. Yes, they will be always in a chill culture.

Faculty

3.5

The faculties are very good in teaching the courses and they are also well qualified in sharing thee course knowledge. They are very interactive. the standard of teaching is also very good and we are having most of the faculties as phd holders.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of the dual degree that it has to offer, christ is one of the very few institutions that offer dual degree and allow you to explore both the subjects or gain combined knowledge of both the subjects. The curriculum is very up to date with subjects that relate to real world problems. What i like the most about my curriculum is the Learner centric approach where they divide the class into halves so that the teacher student ratio can be maintained in order to achieve full efficiency. One area of improvement can be inculcating more soft skills traininng into it.

And they do make many offers. The highest package reports around 30 LPA and the average goes on around 3 to 4.5 LPA. Around 70-90 percent get placements. My plans is to pursue higher studies.

Placements are good. Students arw given chances to take exams and get job opportunities from there. Field trips and internships, orientations, talk shows are organized to prepare students further before stepping out for jobs. They can either take the placements they get or opt for higher studies, which is what i am doing as a degree in psychology alone does not grant a wide scope in the jobs spectrum.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements towards the final semester of their course. Currently, I have only been using the help of my faculty for internship opportunities, since I am not looking for placements. But they have connections with big names in the communication sector, and they often have personalities coming in to give talks and interact with the students. A great number of students opt for placements and approximately 90% of them do end up getting posted at really good companies. Others choose to continue with higher education. My plan after receiving my degree would be to take up a diploma in literature in the UK, while simultaneously finding myself a position at a good publishing house there.

Placement Experience:

From my seniors, I hear that 20/30 % of students from our college get placed. But now being in my final sem I know the reality. For covid and lockdown, the placement sector has been badly hit. Only a handful of companies came this year (5/6 companies). 4/5 people from our batch are placed but no placement for the big chunk of people. From 5th sem students become eligible for placements but in 5th sem, no company came to our college for placement this year. Only in the 6th sem, the placement cell started. Companies that visited till now ( some of them came to take interns and didn't offer full-time jobs) 1) Clevertize, 2) Social Panga, 3) Robert Bosch GmbH, 4) Saatchi & Saatchi, 5) Publicis, 6)PR Pundit, 7) McKinsey, 8) Edsol Edtech, 9) Momo Media, 10) MSL, 11) Genesis BC, Offers: 1.5-3 LPA (average). I plan to send CVs personally to companies through LINKEDIN and other job search platforms because the college hasn't provided us with good placement offers as claimed.
