Course Curriculum Overview

Being a Biology student I always had a liking towards the subject and also was fascinated by the different organisms in nature. The faculties are well-qualified and well-versed in their respective fields. They are very helpful and encouraging.

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 1400000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The Institute is a member of IAESTAE and students have an opportunity to bag themselves an internship abroad. Many students get internship opportunities through this organization. These opportunities mostly provide students with a monthly stipend.

Placement Experience

Students become eligible for campus placements from the Fourth year. Many companies arrive on the campus and take in many students to their company. Most students get placed but many students plan on going for their higher studies be it in India or Abroad.

Fees and Financial Aid

Per year tuition fee will cost you around 254000 and the hostel fees will vary from 6600 to 12600 per semester for Non AC rooms and 35200 to 52800 for AC rooms. Mess fees will vary from 24200 to 37400. These are subject to vary annually.

Campus Life

Karunya Institute conducts different programs throughout the year. The annual fest happens during the month of December known as Megaplay. Then there are different programmes conducted by each Department of the Institute. Classrooms are well equipped with digital learning equipment. Sports and extracurricular activities are very well promoted on the campus.

Hostel Facilities

Rooms are well equipped with a cot, a table and chair, a cupboard, a fan, and a tubelight. The common bathrooms are kept pretty clean. The menu and meal quality is good and the menu changes each day of the week. Hostel Admission is on a First Come First Serve basis and you won't be allowed to stay outside the hostel unless you are from Coimbatore or have a local guardian in Coimbatore.

Hostel Fee: INR 25900 per year

Admission

The eligibility for B.Tech Biotechnology is to have a pass in 10+2 or equivalent examination with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics Biology or Zoology or Botany or Computer Science. The application can be submitted online through the Institute Website.

Beyond the classes: My College Experience

Placement Experience:

Our college is well known for its placements. Almost many MNC companies like Amazon,TCS, visit our college and recruit the top performing students.Students are instructed to do 30 days of internship in remote,hybrid or industrial online before their 6th semester.During the 7th semester, students become eligible to attend the placements. The highes package offered previous year was 21 lakhs per annum and the average package is around 5 lakh per annum. Here students receive 3 options 1. Placement 2. Masters 3. Government Exams . As far off noe, 98%percentage of students who opt for placements get placed. I want to get placed after finishing my degree.
