- The Faculty members. They were very friendly and helping minded. We can contacted them any time for doubts.
- There were no discrimination based on the religion. We have offered separate place for prayer in our hostel.
- College management always support students.
Dislikes
- Climate. The climate was always hot in the area.
- There were not much facilities to improve the English communication knowledge.
- The management should try to conduct Campus Interviews very often.
Course Curriculum Overview
On that time IT industry was very well peaked and had may job opportunities so I had to choose this course. In my class there were 53 students and in my department we had 8 faculty members and a HOD. The faculty member had atleast two years of experience with Bachelors/Masters degree. They often gave us the internal exams and it is not that much tough to pass.
Fees and Financial Aid
Since I got this seat from the Counselling I paid only the tution fees fixed by Anna University. I stayed in the hostel so I have to pay extra 65000 for first year. The hostel fees was increased year by year and in the final year I paid 80000 as hostel fees. I had not applied or guided for any scholarships. There were no Job campus conducted by the college management.
Campus Life
We have conducted symposium in the name of TECHNOPEANS""in our final year (2011). Our college had a big library. There were collections of educational and other books like Space Research, Anthologies, Text Books, Scholarly Books, etc. On those days Smart Boards/Devices were not invented but we had very spacious and comfortable class rooms. Sports and Culturals meets conducted every year by our college management. My friends and Senior were got selected for the Kabaddi and Volley ball university teams. We created Facebook page for our batch students in the name of MSEC IT 2007-2011.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel Registration and fees payment done in the college office only. In our hostel we had wifi access and four members for a room. They gave us cots and two fans for a room. Bathroom facilities were not much great. There were 6 bathrooms for 10 rooms in a wing. Food was great at that time. We can have food at any time in our mess. Tea/coffee provided wo times in a day. They offered non-veg meals for 4 days in a week. For the final semester I have rented a house in kilakarai.
Admission
I was applied for the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions counselling conducted by Anna university and TamilNadu government. I had scored 966/1200 marks in my 12th standard and 165 cut off marks out of 200. I went to Tirunelveli government college to get the application form and paid 500rs. as application fees. They allotted me a random number based on my cut off and community. I went to chennai for counselling and choose this college based on my friends review.
